| Well, I don't think MAL has any place to check the database statistics, but AniDB does. Far as I know, AniDB's database is smaller than MAL's, but just for an idea, there's 1593 anime on there tagged original out of the database's 12864 total. That's around 12.4%. Just for reference though, there's 3230 anime tagged as manga adaptations, 1334 game adaptations and 1003 novel (including light novel) adaptations. Probably not concrete numbers considering the database could be missing some things, but I think it's fairly accurate for just an idea. |

Nice, just curious because because I have a feeling also that most manga, light novels and games are original, only anime aren't. And movies also. |
