I like it so far, but I feel like it's a series that would be hated on this site because of its pacing and sense of humor. What's your opinion on it? |

I liked it until the future arc which had a pacing so horrible it felt like watching One Piece at 0.5 speed. |

I absolutely adore the series. It's one of the few series where the cast feels like family to me. It's got an early 2000's charm that I can never get enough of in anime, and is also from the great era of character songs lol The only other series for me that has such a large, colourful cast, with fun dynamics all round would be Gintama. As a battle shounen, I also find it quite solid and very entertaining. It stands out amongst the others thanks to the mafia inspiration the creator had throughout, which brews it's more unique conflicts and gives the series its style. The main problem with the series is the first 20 or so episodes that are nothing more than just the Comedy that the creator was going for until she really envisioned what she wanted the series to be. Those eps sadly turn too many people off before the series really starts. It's a very loved series, even on MAL despite that. I'm honestly a bit surprised that it's at an 8.2 lol, and it would definitely be a lot higher if it had a good start. |

I dropped it after two first "serious" arcs (right in the beginning of Future arc). In fact I enjoyed comedic arc in the beginning than those generic battle shonen arcs. It's a similar case with Gintama (Gintama's serious arcs suck), but Gintama was funnier. |

it was one of the earlier anime I've watched so I was able to sit through the slow beginnings I liked the Varia arc the most and some of the Future Arc, the OP/EDs are pretty good The beginning is realllyyyy slow so I don't blame many for dropping it I ended up reading the manga and it was pretty good. |

Oh boy Hitman reborn is one of those anime's I can't really describe in words. The start was literally torture to watch. But the main character OH MY GOD he's the most annoying F*CKING character I've see or ever see I still can't believe I watch through the whole series. Other than that trash for a character the story was quite good. |

The anime was good, the manga was amazing but the ending felt so anticlimactic and I was disappointed that tsuna and kyoko didn't end up together. Also Bermuda Von in his adult form was amazing, too bad we didn't see him enough. |

Started out as a 4-kom as it didn't work out it turned into a battle shounen. This is only from a Anime viewer, the Anime is trash, trainwreck with a so disappointed ending. It could really have been a great Battle Shounen that fought about the top spot in best Battle Shounen, but it's not. It's just childish and disappoitment like Soul Eater adaption. It's one of those shows no one should ever have a prio to watch, when it comes down to it. Even ladyspo has a better story then this two adaptions. Not a fan at all over what Hitman is and what it become. I think it could have been so much better. |

In all honesty, this series really disappointed in more ways than one. Tsuna doesn't really grow into the position that he needs to in order to get what he desires. He always says i don't want to be a vongola boss, but he needs to become one in order to protect those he cares about. I also can't stand the fact that most of the main cast, except for yamamoto and gokudera, are so boring or sometimes frustrating to see on screen. They dont grow as a team yet they are supposedly " family" and all of the women in the show are reduced to cooks or are just on the screen for no reason. What really pisses me off is the fact that this series had a lot going for it ,yet the author i feel had no real passion when writing this series. A great example of a series with passion is Toriko (the manga not anime) |

It was a surprising gem, as the series pretty much starts of with Tsuna getting undressed, and running around like a maniac, the whole concept really started to come together after 20 episodes, The last arc was slow, but I still enjoyed it despite that. |

It went downhill right after episode 21, which was the last fight that had actual strategy and tactics. Interestingly, they also had introduced censorship after Kokuyo arc (episode 26). It maintained a quality in the comedy aspect though, filler daily life episode maintained the same level though they now lack new character introductions as in the early episodes. The introduction of Fran was also a refresher, but still, wasn't enough to cover the whole mess the anime went in. |

it was ok comedy was repetitive. (first time was charm then its gets boring to hear same thing again). I don't particularly care about pacing Characters are likeable The serious arcs gets good. Especially future arc was the best. for me Hitman reborn was one of the series which had a slow start but gets really satisfying by the end of it. |

It was long, but it was nice. Was the first long anime I completed. Appreciated the evolution of the anime throughout the entire thing, found that interesting. The two things that I didn't like, one stopped occurring and the latter... still exists. *sigh* but still, yes. This anime exists. Oh and also there's something else that confused me but lol spoilers. |

(God this got long...sorry lol) TL;DR If I watched it before I grew out of battle shounen, I'd have loved. But since I didn't, it's a pretty big disappointment. I think it's because I've pretty much grown out of most battle shounen and it's simplistic themes of "good vs evil". If I had watched it when I was a little younger, than I probably would've loved it. But because I'm older and have a pretty good grasp of what I enjoy and dislike in media, I can't say I enjoyed it too much. Everything felt much too simplistic for my taste. The characters never bounced off each other and because of that no real jokes were made. They all relied on catchphrases and I never found it funny. I also wasn't a fan of how childish some of the "fighting styles" were. I get it's targeted for a younger audience but if full blown fan service can be shown in battle shounen, I don't see why you can't have Bianchi ACTUALLY slip poison into someone's food or something, instead of just having the power to turn everything she touches into "poison cooking", whip out plates of it out of thin air, and fling it at people's face. Tsuna as a main character was a big disappointment for me. He never really improved. I liked him at first and felt like a parent wanting their child to succeed in life and encouraging him to get better (unlike his actual mother). He never got to bond and pick his own guardians, something that should be insanely important he do himself, Reborn did that for him (I really don't like reborn). He never got more confident, only did so when he needed to fight and enter HDW mode. He never worked on his athletics, academics, etc. I felt like a disappointed parent watching their child drop out of high school. It was saddening, so I've been bitter about Tsuna and his development ever since. |

They're still important, as it's during those episodes that characters and relationships are established in the main cast. It's beyond satisfying when it starts to get serious tho. The series suddenly hits real different, It's almost unrecognisable. It's worth the wait imo. |

Weird series, the concept and ideas with the mafia families is quite a bit more interesting than in other shounen like MHA or Naruto. There are legitimately great ideas (some can feel stupid but they help to make the story more interesting than it would've been in other shounen). Example is the Inheritance Ceremony Arc. That's one of the most solid 8/10 starts to a shounen arc with how they inserted the villain group and especially Enma. Everything was pretty solid until they got to the island. Then on the island the author inserted really intriguing extra wheels in the form of the Vindice (basically KHR's dementors that are some kind of transcended beings outside of life and death), however the arc is just bogged down by the thing that shounens are known for - the fights. The fights take too long, go through the motions too much and have the usual shounen filler-like air to them. Like how in JoJo part 3 we just beat up dudes until we get to the final boss and "true final boss". KHR would honestly be much better if the fight heavy portions of each arc were switched to more story-heavy portions, and the comedy also tends to be quite mediocre. In their roots every shounen is the same. They may have a different core idea like Ninjas, Heroes, Pirates, Soul Reapers, Mages, etc, but in reality they're just DBZ all over again. The core concepts are just superficial and these series tend to play the exact same in their structure. Thus what really matters is how the author's touch comes across. |

Many of these babies are actual adults turned to babies so most of them dont really act like babies, exceptions are lambo and ipin, Ipin gets more irrelevant in the series and isnt really that annoying imo. The biggest literal crybaby is Lambo, I like him, but many people dont but also he gets "irrelevant" in the long run and calms down compared to the first 20 episodes. maybe this will convince you to give it a try |

KHR is my alltime favorite Anime, its mostly the characters, the setting and the music. Yes the pace is horrible, but im a very patient bingewatcher so it didnt bother me that much. I hope this Anime and the Manga get a reboot and get picked in the future because it has massive potential. The Anime should get a HxH treatment. Cut the first 20 Episodes down to 3-4 Episodes, and also cut out the fillers and really chop down the future Arc because also for me it has really poor pace, also the upcoming arc(s) in the Manga should get animated and the Manga should get a proper continuation and finish. also unpopular opinion: Lambo is my favorite character |

Ok, to be completely honest, at first, when i started watching the anime, i didn't like it, i hated how Reborn would constantly "abuse" Tsuna and nobody would even bat an eye at it. Some "friends" those were, i thought! When you have such "friends" that just stand by and watch or even help torture you, why do you need enemies?! I obviously didn't understand at that time that this was all just for comedy and as time went on and i continued to watch it, it actually grew on me and became one of my favorite anime!!! Unpopular opinion: I now believe that the first 20 episodes and the "fillers" are actually the best part of Katekyo Hitman Reborn! and much more enjoyable than all of the battle arcs, save maybe the Varia arc, that one was good. Also, what Katekyo Hitman Reborn! needs is neither a remake nor a reboot, what it needs is just a sequel!!! Just like how D.Gray-man didn't get a remake/reboot because it didn't need it, but instead got a sequel, same thing for Katekyo Hitman Reborn! What would even be the point of a remake/reboot when the old one is good?!? Just so they would cut out the first 20 episodes and "fillers" that for some reason most people don't seem to like??? Yeah, well, if you just cut out all of the daily life segments and comedy and jumped straight to the action with no context, how could you even get attached to the characters and come to care about what happens to them in the first place?!??! Which is why i'm against any reboots/remakes that would cut them out!!! Without them you wouldn't have any time to spend getting to know the characters and essentially you wouldn't be able to form any attachments to them because of it!!! And if you don't care what happens to the characters at all what's the point even watching it then?!?? |

I liked the arc to see who would be the successor to Vongola and the saga in which they go to the future was fine until they went back to the past for the first time. Honestly, think it deserves a 5, but I gave it a 7 because it was one of the first anime I saw. I have a special affection for the characters. Especially Gokudera. I really loved this show as a child. |
