You don't. Just don't do it.
Watch at your own pace and whatever you feel like.

I think both anime are not that good at the beginning, btw. But they get awesome later on.

There isn't any special trick just watch as many episodes as you usually watch. Also the 9 days thing is garbage. Reading the story from the wiki probably takes longer than that.

i guess just have the ultimate binge session every day? make the best of quarantine i guess. what I do to finish a 100+ episode series is just watch it every once in a while, binging when i need a break from other animes. But this all depends on what you wanna do, like do u want to finish it within a couple of days or slowly enjoy it within a few weeks or even months?

Don’t marathon OP, or Gintama; it is stupid.

Just to be fair. I haven't watch One Piece and only saw like the first episod back in 2012 once if i recall. I haven't got the time to watch no more since most animes these days tend to drag out.

To watch OP in 9 days you'd have to spend over 30 hours a day sitting and watching, obviously not possible lol. Unless you watch at 3x speed.

If you do start One Piece, take it at your own's pace. It's a slow start but around episode 50 you'll discover your pace pretty much. Whether you binge it or take it slow, I would recommend it. Also Gintama is a great watch too if you want a tad more comedy.

So what will happen if you watch the whole of one piece in 9 days? They give you a medal? There's a guinness record for it?

I can't binge Gintama no matter how hard I try, it's too boring as of 8 episodes in. I'll watch it very so intermittently. You can only catch up so much if you're really into the anime. I watched episodes 263-516 of One Piece in just under two months (late May-mid-late July 2018; for the record everything from 385-516 was in around two weeks). There are certain shows where you can, and can't, and that (enjoying the show) is all a personal factor.

You'll have time when you find it. Not everyone is busy 24/7.
Though in my opinion. Gintama is only good in the "non serious" arcs. The serious arcs or chapters or whatever you want to call it sucks. Hence I dropped it in the later seasons.
One Piece though, many say they have problem watching it and it's a slow show and they say it gets better from episode 100+ but in my opinion, the show gets slow in the new arc after the great war. From like episode 1 to 300 or something like that, it was in my opinion actually great. I rewatched a lot of it but then it just got worse with small fillers, like a fight which could be finished in 1 episode drags on for like 7 episodes instead. But thats what they gotta do when they get caught up to the manga or some sh*t like that.

When I started One Piece it had alreade aired like 240 episodes or something like that. Just take a friday or saturday night and watch like 10-15 episodes. Sooner or later you'll be like the rest of us waiting to fastforward the new episode in order to get on with our cursed lives.

It is not humanly possible to watch over 900 episodes of a show in 9 days. Period. Let’s say you’re not a human even. Given the average 23 minute run time for each episode that’s about 5 episodes for every 2 hours or 60 for every 24 (1 day). Even if you watched it on continuous stream for 10 days straight you would only be 600 episodes in.

One great advice - don't start One Piece anime at all. Read manga instead.
Its notorious slowness is a literal torture. They can make several manga pages into 20-30 anime episodes lol. You'll waste hundreds of hours for nothing. Save your precious time and read manga. Or just give it up. It's a good option, too.

Gintama is often episodic and story arcs are not so big. So you don't need to rush and binge it.

Who ever said he caught up with one piece in 9 days he's obviously lying to you lol... just watch at least 10-15 episodes a day and you will enjoy both of them, one piece is my most favorite anime and 2nd is gintama lol.

It's obviously bullshit to catch up with One Piece in only 10 days, just like deaf_amish_guy said. I haven't watched One Piece and Gintama, maybe I'll watch Gintama when the chance come, and if I wanted to watch One Piece I'll just go and read the manga as I heard that the studio is milking the show with the very slow pacing. Between:

Watching 10 short anime shows >>>>> Watching one anime show with 100+ ep

I also recommend just reading the manga for One Piece if you're looking to get caught up as soon as possible. You are looking at almost 310 hours of watch time in order to catch up to the recent aired episode.

I've watched several lengthy anime, but I do this over a span of months while periodically watching other anime. If you choose to watch an anime that has 100+ episodes, you should watch it at your own pace.

Hey, I'm kind of in the same dilemma right now! I recently started One Piece in hopes of finishing it with the added help of the extra time a quarantine brings...but it looks like the quality really drops off after episode 500. My plan is to:

1) watch to ep 500
2) based on how unbearable the pacing is, I might switch to One Pace (stripped down ver of One Piece that cuts out the bad pacing)
3) pick up the manga around the same arc

Hope that helps if you're planning on tackling the huge monster One Piece is :) As for time, just watch at your own pace. I've been watching like 3-5 episodes a day depending on how I feel so you do you!
