The final scene of Vinland Saga. It's the perfect example of a scene that can't really be enjoyed without the context, without all the emotional build up that lead to it.



Over the years I've been an anime fan, there have been many scenes that I loved. However, none of them quite gave me the chills I've been looking for. I'm not talking about the chills you get when you're scared. I'm talking about the chills you get by how amazed you are at something, when you know that something will last in your mind forever.

See, when I was a kid, my favorite movie of all time was Spirit Stallion of the Cimarron. A film that always gave me that magical feeling. And Vinland Saga's final scene just...did it.

Last running scene by Chiyoko on Millenium Actrees, the transition between scene with different timeline is awesome. Such a great way to do flashback hy Satoshi Kon

Conversation between Rize and Mustang on FMA:B when Rize stalked by Homonculus and give hint through first word on every sentence

The moments when old grandpa still insist into the cave on Mushishi. He realize it just some repetitife occurence because Mushi power but in order to keep hos wife alive he decide to enter the cave.

I have quite a few to chose from, but I'll go for when Reinhard and Yang meet together and have coffee in Legend of the Galactic Heroes. It's probably one of the best climaxes and one of the best episodes in the entire series, it's comparable to a final boss fight you would see in a shounen anime.

Many, to many but if I had to pick one from 2019 it would be Hyakkimaru killing the soldiers who murdered the kids at the temple, where he was recuperating.

Or Domestic na Kanojo when the teacher tells the protagonist what it means for them to "go out together".

I really didn't like this part in IBO. My enjoyment of the show (slightly) decreased after this point.

Talking about IBO, when Mikazuki first used gundam barbatos with his giant mace is one of my favorite scenes which promptly turned me to a Gundam fan

I like TONS of scenes but i guess my favorite gotta be light vs L interaction in ep 2 of DN. Not because it's objectivly the best scene i have watched but because of its significance it had on me. It's the scene that started it all for me i guess..

Although I couldn't really get into Death Note and don't like it as much as other shows, since I'm more into emotional shows, but I agree with you on this one! The storytelling and the story as a whole are a masterpiece in it's own unique way. Dialogues can really make a great anime! Another example is the monogatari series. The authors of these two, are geniuses hehe

Lots of favorites, but near the top was...

Dragon Ball Super:Broly, the finale.

I saw it release night in theaters and it was a packed house. I'd say the scene and the atmosphere combined into one of my favorite moments. I remember seeing the first movie as a kid so it was nostalgic. Everybody was cheering like we did watching the show on tv at home. Theres many others but this is probably my top.

Yeeeah I feel you on this one. Clannad is on another level of beauftiful! Although I like the Tomoyo Route more, especially since I played the visual novel but dont mind me hehe
