| The manga, the rebuilds and the original anime are all different timelines/universes. Even if you read the manga, you'll still have to watch 4.0 |

| Yeah, definately worth it. It is an alternate story, more solid constructed than anime but also more story focused. You'd love it if you liked the anime. Or not, Evangelion fans are so strange somethimes. |
| I personally enjoyed reading the manga even though I haven't watched the anime yet. The artstyle is very beautiful too. As I heard, the story is slightly different from anime, you can always read it just to compare the details and maybe find something new in the character interactions. |
