| I came here to say season 1 then season 2 but since I see others who came here before me I'll answer more or less seriously. What you are talking about is called the "fate series" and Fate/Zero is just a part of it. I would recommend starting with Fate/Zero (season 1 then 2 of course) then watching Fate/Stay Night UBW. The 2006 Studio Deen version sucks. Then go with Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/kaleid. | Fate/Zero has 2 seasons. The order is obvious. Since that’s obvious, I’m gonna assume you’re talking about the Fate Series. If so, the order you should watch is: 1. Fate/Zero Season 1 & 2 2. Fate/Stay Night (2006) (this is optional though since it’s not that good and UBW and HF are alternate versions, tho if you love Fate go ahead) 3. Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works (UBW) 4. Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel Movies Every other Fate iteration like Apocrypha, Extra, Kaleid, and the Grand Order OVAs (just play the damngame instead of watching these tho. I tried one and it was pretty shit) are all just spinoffs and aren’t connected plot-wise to Zero and the Stay Nights. Also watch Carnival Phantasm, that is one of the comedy anime’s and the best spoof one I’ve seen. It’s only 10 minutes an ep too so it won’t take long to binge. |

| You should start with episode 13 season 1, watch the first season in reverse. For season 2, start with episode 7, then watch 1-6 and lastly skip 8 and watch 9-12. |

| Watch it like this Fate/zero Fate/stay night 2006 Fate/setay night unlimited blade works TV series Fate/Apocrypha Fate/Extra (you can skip this, but I among the few that liked it) Fate/stay night heaven's feel 3 movies (only 1 movie is out is far) Don't listen to those who tell you that Apocrypha is bad. It had like many of the best fights I've in fate series (Note: I said best fights, not best animation) Fate/kaleid is good if you want fate series with loli and fanservies (it still have some serious moments and good fights) |
Iskandar vs. Gilgamesh was just too short. And it is not the best fight in fate/zero. Kotomine vs Kiritsugu fight was better What I like about Fights Apocrypha is that fights are longer, so intense and more destructive. And also that boxing fight between red rider and black archer was amazing I never understood why some people even hate Apocrypha. It is like of the top action anime I've seen. |

Tsukihime and KnK will expand your knowledge on the Universe, magic and Stuff. Now we come to the main Story, Fate/Zero, the one and only true HGW stroy. After that comes the After story, Fate /Stay night, and i tell you here right now, watch the 2006 version, atleast it's finished and you don't have to wait, + you get Saber and latex Sakura, can it get any better?. Now, to get to know the 2nd best Character in the Nasuverse, Archer, you watch the UBW movie. UBW Anime and HF movies are optional. Also, DO NOT read the VN, it's just a porn game. | Jesus...this thread. Yeah, the Fate Series is pretty confusing to start. If you're just asking about Fate/Zero, there's only two seasons. And you can just watch them normally (everyone here talking about episode order is making a joke about how confusing the actual series is ordered). If you're asking about how to start the actual Fate series then...just make it simple and watch it in release order. Everyone will argue about what follows chronologically and what versions to skip and stuff like that. I watched them all in release order and that works for a lot of people. Decide for yourself what to skip based off description or stuff like that I didn't include what hasn't aired yet, and left out a majority of the specials and ovas. |
| For the Fate series just watch 'Today's menu for the Emiya family' and 'Carnival Phantasm'. Then watch all the awesome animated fights on youtube and you should be fine. |

If you enjoy that you can go into ufotable's Fate/SN: UBW, and if by that point you're really enjoying your investment into the series, you can check out the different Stay Night timelines by following ufotable's Heaven's Feel, and the original from Studio Deen in 2006 Fate/SN. |

Kaleid's fights are plenty narratively meaningful, and plenty 'meaty' (whatever the hell that means). Sure, Fate/Zero's are too. But Fate/Zero's fights never felt like Servant battles to me. Servants, as described in the VN, are overwhelming in every way - skill, strength, and speed. Zero has lots of the first two, but is severely lacking in the last. It looks great, don't get me wrong, and you'll never catch me saying that the action scenes are bad. But they just don't feel like Servant battles, and Kaleid's do. So do Apocrypha's, and UBW, and Heaven's Feel. |
