| for me an anime with character design I realy love that immediately come to mind would be jojo's part 5 and above. well it just started airing and I only read 40 chapters of the manga, but in anime/manga it would be one of my favourite |

| The designs of Katanagatari are really good, but really good. It looks like if the characters were especifically designed to fit the show. The simplistic, yet at the same time detailed designs are a delight to watch, and the color palette feels right and fitting. Also, all the important characters looks unique, from the Maniwas with those flamboyant costumes, to Emonzaemon with his suit and mask, to Togame, with her white hair and red eyes, who is, imo, one of the most pleasant designs I have ever watched in an anime. She is just a treat to watch. The eyes of the characters are also noteworthy to mention, because how diverse and unique they look. That thing also made the characters have more personality, like if every one of them was unique and unrepeatable. I don't think the show would had been that stylish if the characters would had a more traditional design instead of the ones Take did for the novels, like what Shaft did for Zaregoto (Watanabe Zaregoto's designs were not bad, however). |

| Nonon from Kill la Kill and Dr. Stein from Soul Eater have some very interesting designs. I watch a lot of Slice of Life anime but those shows just don't have quite the same level of character uniqueness as shows like MHA or FMA have. |
