THERE EXIST IN THIS WORLD SOMETHING NO ONE HAS EVER SEEN
IT'S GENTLE SO VERY SWEET
THE GLIMPSES IS ALL IT TAKES TO MAKE A PERSON CRAVE IT
THAT'S WHY IT'S NEVER BEEN SEEN
THAT'S WHY THE WORLD HAS KEPT HIDDEN
MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO OBTAIN
BUT ONE DAY, IT WILL BE FOUND

BY THE PERSON WHO IS MEANT TO FIND IT. BECAUSE THAT'S HOW IT WORKS.

Just ignore everything from s2 and read the Tokyo Ghoul manga.
You'll be kinda good to go.

I like the adaptation but it has a couple of glaring flaws

- The animation is hot garbage. Art is good 70% of the time, but seriously that animation WTF. All it needed was S1's animation and this would've been sooooo much better. The amount of still-panels, dear god...
- They still keep missing details from the manga that are important.
- Pacing is slightly fast, but not as big of a deal as some of the subreddits/MAL users are making it out to be. But then again, this does lead to more skipped scenes...

However, lemme list out some of the pros

- great OST, OP/ED. and voice acting. Natsuki is phenomenal for Haise
- some of the scenes are done really well (EX: Touka and Haise)
- Root A was retconned (however this is gonna suck for anime-onlies)
- the parts that they don't skip are adapted well for the most part (if we ignore the animation part)

After the fourth episode, this season is 3/10.
All weebs creatures of the galaxy, hear this message. Those of you who listen will not be struck by western animation. You will no longer know hunger, nor pain. Your Anime have come to lead you now. Our strength shall serve as a luminous sun toward which all intelligence may blossom. And the impervious shelter beneath which you will prosper. However, for those who refuse our offer and cling to their western animation ways… For you, there will be great wrath.

Anime-only watcher here. I binged the first two seasons over the last couple of weeks, just so I could catch up to this series.

I thought the first two seasons were pretty good. Sure it had its rough moments, but overall the characters are interesting, directing was good, visuals and audio were some of the better ones I've seen. It kept me entertained, and the episodes flew by.

And then :re came along. The quality drop is noticeable in pretty much all aspects of the show. It's not even about the story, or how it's confusing to us anime-only watchers. It's only 3-4 episodes in, so it's to be expected we won't have the full story. It's more about how they present the new characters, and bring the story along. And this is where :re fails big time.

It's pretty jarring when every single character in the Quinx group is outright a walking anime cliche. And they're supposed to be the main characters for the season? They are completely uninteresting, more so when compared to the chars from earlier seasons. The directing has made me care even less about them, and I found myself seriously bored by the time I made it to episode 3.

At this point I honestly hope they're gonna kill off every single Quinx member, and just focus on the old gang. Or someone else. Anyone. Please. I'd rather hear Asta screaming in Black Clover than watch these guys emo their way along.

I did enjoy the first season (mostlly because of the music but still) the second one was just bad and this one is rather boring and not explained properly for anime only viewers.

After watching episode 4 i think its really fast paced, too many characters too little depth, everything feels kinda rushed. Not a big fan of this anime, gonna read the manga someday for sure.

It felt like a whole new anime for me. I'm not as hyped as before and I'm starting to consider to drop it
