Is One Piece too long?

I started watching this anime about 5 and a half years ago and I was never able to catch up to it, so yes, it's too long. I'm currently at episode 732, so I'm 99 episodes behind right now.

First of you are complaining now BUT once you get into the story and you truly engage you are going to wish that that it kept going (if per say it stopped) but anyways the story of one piece is a long one with a lot of lure like Naruto this in my opinion is a good thing it may be a lot to digest but as long as you wacth the show in your own paste you should be fine. Is one piece to long? No. You in general are looking for a engaging story to wacth which one piece is I mean one are is longer than the standard 12 episode anime 😂... the story is great how it is with its great amount of depth.

There's no such thing as too much episode when the show renew itself by each arcs and is constantly good. One Piece might be the only series which can work for too long because of its format.

One more thing I was reading the comments and I notice people were saying thay 50 episodes is long for them, in this cause Yes one piece will seem like it is to long. In reality one piece is very intimidating. If you can handle the amount of episodes you will be fine and wish there are more

Way too long for my liking... I don't even know why I keep it in my PTW, I won't probably watch it, ever. tbh an anime of over 12 episodes has to be really good to make me watch more. It took me 1 year to finish Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and that was when Naruto Shippuden had about 300 episodes and I actually liked the series. For One Piece which I don't think I'd like that much it would take me 3-4 years to finish. That could be my top 1 goal.

I think I would prefer to watch ~70 one cour shows instead, I think I would get more out of that. That's the calculation I make whenever I look at something like this.

Watch until the end of Enies Lobby (episode 312 or so) and then switch to the manga.

The anime start to have major pacing issues at a certain point. This especially become true once you reach the Dressrosa arc, where they start to adapt less than a chapter per episode (The Dressrosa arc has more episodes than manga chapters).

For 800+ episodes,at least the plot hasn't become that boring,even though after the timeskip OP wasn't the same anymore.Idk but Oda has even planned out out the ending,saying that the end war will make marineford look 'cute',so I still hope for a good twist or something in the plot,since One piece has one of the largest storylines,with many sub plots having an open ending.

No. A big world such as in One Piece needs some time to get developed and explored. And Oda is doing a fantastic job at it imo,901 chapters in and I was never bored.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron
