Do Japanese anime fans hate anime filler in shows as much as the Western or International Audience does?
| Now we all know how hated fillers are & I can see why. But do the Japanese audience hate it as much as the US or other International countries do? Do they like seeing noncanon story arcs & stuff in their favorite series or no not at all? |

| I don't mean to point out the obvious but your title implies everybody hates filler as much as you do. Don't make presumptions about what everyone else thinks. Now that we got that out the way - I don't really mind filler at all. Sure, there's a lot of bad filler, but there are also filler that's better than canon. So as to what the mythical Japanese thinks? Like everything; half, half. Some will love it. Some will despise it. There isn't one universal opinion, like everything in this world. If you really wanted a definitive answer, I guess you'll just have to find where they hide and take a poll... ;D |

| I got a feeling that Japanese don't mind it as much as our community do, though this is me being unreliable because I have no idea what their community is like. While it's true that fillers are generally hated because they serve as an excuse to drag the anime out with lazy writing, there are some fillers that are good. Seems like people should be more vocal towards the one who write the fillers, and not fillers itself because it's unfair for the ones who did put in effort to expand the story. |
