| I've been reading the Golden Age arc in the manga, and would like to see it animated. Is this a good adaption of the Golden age Arc in Berserk ? or does it make a lot of changes, i've seen people say to anime fans that the manga is better Should i watch this, or the movie trilogy of the Golden Age. |

| They're both fine adaptations. Movies are CG-heavy if you don't like that stuff. I say just watch both. They make minor changes, mostly omissions. Like Wyald. '97 skips Skull Knight, probably because he isn't relevant much until after GA. Movie has him. If you're going to keep reading anyway, it doesn't matter. |

Berserk is now my favourite manga, the quality compared to the other manga i like was really surprising. I don't mind if they leave out a few things, like you said im going to keep reading the manga so it doesnt matter, as long as what they do adapt is adapted well. i just finished the golden age arc in the manga so im excited to watch the anime. I think i'll watch this one before the movies. |
| Berserk 1997 has a killer soundtrack, it has solid directing and impressive voice acting. Though the animation is limited, the art is consistent and it keeps the feel of the manga in my opinion. Even with some things glossed over or changed around, it still leaves the viewer with a fantastic experience, so yes, Berserk 1997 is a great anime. The movie trilogy you could watch, but definitely, don't watch it before you watch the anime. The first two movies are shit, but the third is very good. And I suppose if you could stomach it, (I honestly don't recommend it but) you could watch Berserk 2k16 and 17 (but still that should be left purely for research purposes). The first two movies and the 2016/ 2017 anime have similar problems: they rush over shit and have appalling animation mixed in with some good clips (only 2016 and 17 are inarguably worse). If you want to avoid them, then do so. |
