| Hey there, my name is Sky. I am a professional blogger, neuroscientist, and soon to be doctor studying for my PhD. Anyway, it have come to my attention that Overlord II (season) may very well be the best anime of 2018. If you do not know already, Overlord II episode 1 came out today and it had many MAL users wanting more (if you do not know about this, then you're sadly missing out). Anyway, lets get straight to the point. Here's why Overlord II is the best anime of 2018: It's was written by a man from a humble beginning. Someone who understands the anime world and can easily appeal to his readers. He goes by the name " Kugane Maruyama " If you follow his work, you would know that he is regarded as perhaps the next Allen Poe. That name alones speaks for itself. Overlord II was ranked the highest on MAL. before, as we all know, hackers coming along and ruining the votes. It's also animated by Madhouse whose widely known by all users to being one of the best animated studios that only pick top tier anime. It's obvious that Overlord was chosen because of the writing and how it grabs the reader in. Everyone that have read the Light novel KNOWS that this is one of a kind. You can connect with every one there. It's like you're actually there. The writer paints a vivid picture. It have season 2 by MAD HOUSE. Now Madhouse aren't known for making 2nd seasons unless they see high potential in the show. They even turned down No game no Life. Now that speaks volumes. They given the green light for a 2nd season for Overlord in record breaking time; announcing it in 1 year and a few months apart from the first season. It have the best characters: I really wish I can go more in depth, but to save time, I'll end it here. Overlord II is with out a doubt the best anime of 2018. It's only competition this year would be Steins;Gate 0. If you never seen Overlord before, I HIGHLY recommend watch it asap. You will not regret it. |

| I really wish I can post a better image, but sadly will not let me. Sao was good up until the 2nd season. Overlord only gets better. Grimgar, NGNL do not have a 2nd season and as we all know Overlord season 1 is better than their season 1. Overlord will only get better. Madhouse sees potential. |

| Don't get me wrong, I liked Season 1, and I have high hopes for Season 2, but I won't go all gay for the show like OP has. At least this thread has finalized the decision of who the next thread spammer to go on the ignore list is. | A few haters here. I am thankful for the actual Overlord fans. The people that actually have good taste in the genre and knows how well Overlord is compared to its competitors. If I was to rank shows in the genre, it'd be this: 1) Overlord 2) Grimgar 3) SAO (1 and First half of season 2) 4) Accel World Everything else do not really come up to par. |

| Overlord season 1 was a mess and below average compared to most adapted isekai stories. Almost every other season 1 of any is better. The only reason Overlord is enjoyable is watching him massacre everyone because he's stupidly OP, but even that gets boring and when he does find someone strong, oh man, using cash shop items out of no where = quality writing. |

| Ah yes, excellent question from @XquisiteWig. I gave Overlord S1 a 9 out of 10 because it sadly was not longer. It should've been a 24 episode cour. It would've been undeniably a masterpiece if it was 24 episodes and have more fans than SAO with out a doubt. Season 2 only gets better. When I seen the first episode, it brought tears to my eyes the first 10 minutes. We as fans got to see the Dragon lord and Zesshi. What more can we ask for? Not only that but we get to see the Wolf girl talk with Aura. (Adorable scene). As we all know, Overlord II will only get better. I am simply stating the soon to be obvious and giving it a 10/10 |

Well I do like Ainz and Albedo But I don't think it'll be the best of 2018. Im probably going to consider Index III the best of 2018 to be honest SAO could be fun too I guess but when it comes to which is better Im plenty sure I will see Overlord to still be of higher quality since it has the type of characters I like |
