Anime is just one of my hobbies, like music, films, sports, videogames and other things; I pretty much alternate between them and could go years without doing one of them. For example, from 2014 to the first half of 2016 I was heavily interested in watching films, and so I went and watched one almost like everyday. Then my interest in films died (temporarily, I hope) and from second half of 2016 to this October I was playing at least 4 hours of fighting games almost everyday and became quite addicted. It was taking too much of my time so I decided to stop for a while and now I'm taking this time to watch a lot of anime and live series that people talk about that I've never seen... |

| Thanks to all the goody-two-shoes MCs who only believe in doing what is right, I ended up upholding some good values in real life which most probably may make my classmates/friends not like me for not helping them in doing wrong things. Also instead of being restricted to groups and people only from my area/country and being in my own little world like my classmates and friends, I came across many people from different corners of the world and learnt a few common characteristics about their country/culture thanks to anime. |

| I think it matters more if it had a positive or negative impact in someone's life. I would certainly generalize it to the point that it had a negative impact on their life, but it'd be a good thing if one's life had been saved by anime, certainly probably just my wishful thinking. |
| Well, it has pretty much taken over my room, but I've made my best friends because of it. It has also made me in general a more happy and outgoing person. Which is probably hard to believe for some crippling depression MAL users. Overall, an expensive hobby, but I really enjoy a lot of things about anime. (I don't have Netflix or any streaming services just Air TV, so anime is kinda a godsend for me since when I was young I watched a lot of cartoons, I just liked cartoony style.) |
