 ☩Welcome to the Party☩ (Track: Soul of soul) There was once a country with two castles - a castle of truth tellers and a castle of liars. Both possessed halves of a very valuable treasure, and both wanted each other’s half. They were always at the verge of war, but since they were even in power, war would mean mutual destruction, so they maintained a very treacherous peace. One day, however, a third castle appeared on the lands. Neither side knew who built the castle, or whether the castle was full of truth tellers or liars. Fueled by fear and paranoia, the truth tellers and liars began a terrible war. Both treasures were stolen and hidden away, but by the end of the war, the three castles were left barren and ruined. Today, they now exist as the Blue Castle, the Red Castle, and the Golden Castle. Hardly any remembers anymore which was the Castle of Truths, the Castle of Liars, or the mysterious third castle that could be full or truths or lies. For the truth behind the treasure and its location, it is spoken only in whispers and myths. What is known though is the legend: the treasure still lies within one of the three castles. Which one it is, however, is buried beneath layers of Truths and Lies. ___ (Track: Golden sneer) Make a guess at the truths and lies! Message me your answers if you think you figured it out. If you get it wrong, feel free to resubmit, be beware: you have limited guesses for the bonus puzzle! Feel free to answer one or both, and remember: don't rush! For the main puzzle, you must successfully identify all three castles as being either Truths or Lies. For this, you have three (3) chances. If you successfully solve it, you can win the room's Main Candy. For the bonus puzzle, you must find in which castle the treasure was hidden in. For this, you have three (3) chances. If you successfully solve it, you can win the room's Bonus Candy. A new Act will be unlocked each day over the next 72 hours. The room will close on October 29 at 12:00 AM PST for which both questions can be answered if you still have tries left, so be sure to get your answers in by then! Winners will be announced after the room has closed. You are allowed to discuss the riddle, but do not talk about right or wrong answers you sent in, or you may be chopped up served at the Witch's Banquet! A room that shouldn't have been there, yet it was opened. Within the dimly lit room, there stood a single table with three empty tea cups and a pot of black tea. They seemed untouched for a long time. A party would soon start here. (Track: As time goes by) "I had arrived late last time, but it seems I had arrived too early for this game. Or, perhaps it was at the right time. There are signs that the others have arrived, but it seems they are still preparing their sides of the board. Mine has already been completed, but it seems there are still some remnants of the aftermath unresolved." Circling around the room, the figure saw various fragments left on the floor. Memories, thoughts, and sentiments from the past and present. Tapping on one with her foot, distant voices adjoined and resonated within the silence of the room. As such, the structure of the board's rules reflects this function in its wording: What is the core nature of each castle: Truths or Lies? What factors play heavily into the underlying mechanics of the puzzle? What is the nature of the treasure itself? Though, that itself could also be a lie, as was everything that I have said thus far." The Witch laughed wryly under her breath. "I wonder how many of you will be able to distinguish between the truths and lies. The poison which is the deadliest for Witches is boredom after all, so hopefully you won't try to kill me. You can do that much, can't you?" |

| (elsewhere in an undisclosed location) It was a dimly lit room. The only warmth there was the recently brewed pot of tea on the central table, encircled by three cups and three chairs. One seemed previously used. One seemed untouched. One seemed to be held by a figure in pink and red. (Track: Black Lilliana) "Ah, the taste of freshly brewed tea compares to nothing else in this world. Its aroma, its pedigree, its lavish ability to be shared among company...but the only thing missing is the actual company!!!! Where are those two!? I thought I arrived on time, but no one is even here! If they're avoiding me, then fine, I'll host this party all by myself! Tsu~n!"  Frustrated, the figure leapt out of her seat and stomped over to the board, kicking a few carefully placed game pieces on her way. "The damage has already been done by the previous party. That child sure helped you all by talking about my strategy, so I wonder how I can strike back...oh, I know!" Before her, thoughts gathered together in a cloud of dust. It was an intangible substance being brought forth in an imaginary space. By trickery or magic, voices could be heard from the past. The figure - the Witch - sneered as the cloud took its form. The Blue Witch said: I am not your ally, but if I am to oversee the Blue Castle, then I would like to not have my name tarnished by the label of Liar while I'm here, much less in the presence of the other two. Though, that itself could also be a lie, as was everything that I have said thus far. "She was quite serious about not being called a Liar. I wonder whyyyyyyyyy. Don't think too hard on it though, she's not that complicated to figure out. If she has a goal, that's all she ever thinks about. Think of her as a sniper, pinpointing a single target with all her might. If something is focused on a lot, it's probably really important. As for me, I'm more of a super artillery type, so don't think you can figure out the Red Castle's mysteries by brute force alone, hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh-oh! Now let's see....oh, here's one!" The key point to the primary mystery is figuring out who the truth tellers and liars are, right? I'm a pretty complicated person, so you won't be able to read me that easily! However, for the people in the castles, they have a core nature that will never change. See how the the answers come down to Truth or Lies? See how the name of the country is Truth or Lies? Try as they might, they will never break away from their fate of being born in their castles. They will always be one or the other. How sad it must be, having your life decided from the day you were born! With the secondary mystery, there are many ways to approach this. The child before me tried to hide it through her own methods. Are liars capable of telling truths? Are truth tellers capable of lying? I don't see why not, but don't confuse yourselves, remember that even she must follow the rules of the game, or else she'd be a dirty cheater, which is even worse than being a liar! Ask yourself this: what is the core structure of the story? What are the necessary components that are necessary for the mystery to occur? And, if the treasure truly exists, then in what ways does it repeat itself through the different stories? Hopefully you believe me on that one, or did you think little 'ol me would Lie about something that important?"  "Saaaaaaay, did you know that honesty is one the most important qualities of Witches? After all, we want to be recognized for our actions just as much as anyone else! But, what's more important is our magic. If that is not believed, then how can the Witch herself be believed in? Lady Bernkastel knew this, but the more truthful one is, the more suspicious things seem, am I right? After all, why would someone be so nice as to give away secrets for free? Of course, I'm in the same situation, and so is Lady Beatrice. This is veeeeerrrrrrry important for all of us, did you get that? I hope you did! Hoh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh! Though, that still may not be enough. I see those of you hugging your knees, waiting for the most opportune moment to strike. Let me give you all a final gift, it's a little something about the upcoming room. I know the one in there quite well, you see. She's quite cruel, maybe just a little more than I am. But, to prove that I'm not a liar and to set a fire under your butts, let me tell you something good." | (elsewhere in an undisclosed location) It was a room that could not be found, visited only by those whom exist outside the boundaries of reality and fiction. Or, by those invited by ones as such. In the middle of the room, there stood a single tea table with three cups: two that have found their owner, and one that- "Tea? In a party I was snubbed in before I had even arrived? Was the order of things reversed while I was away, or was the time wrong from the beginning? Amusing, the hospitality of this welcome is equal to the treatment my heel would give to a roach. In response, I must refuse such generosity for the time being."  (Track: Golden sneer) With a flash of golden dust, a figure appeared in the room, standing before the game board with a golden pipe in hand. "For now though, I'll play along. I'm curious to see how you treasure hunters have faired in my absense. A sufficient amount of magic has gathered in this board. The day of Hallow's Eve draws near. As such, it becomes even more easier to perform actions such as this." With an effortless swipe of her pipe, the air before the figure cut, opening a view into the past from a distant land. This was an act of something that wasn't human. Without a doubt, this was a Witch. Mellowmancer said: but what happened to act 2 endingggg i wanna know what all the screams were all aboutt "All will be revealed in due time. Haven't you ever eaten a meal, but saved your favorite side for the end? Though, there's still the question of if the treasure even exists. "Oh, reeeeeeaaaalllyyyyyyyy? Then would the honest, pure and short Lady Lambdadelta mind confirming that the Treasure is in the Red Castle????" "H-Hey! I'm not short! Wait, don't distract me! You're not getting any answers from me! Besides, your castle is made of GOLD! How co-" Hahahaha!!!*cackle*cackle* "Fake gold, which you so kindly alluded to. But, the youngster in your castle also stated that the treasure was most likely something more valuable than just gold and jewels. Or have you forgotten your own clues? Are you sure you're a Truth Teller? Are you reeeaaalllyyy suuuurreee???" The Golden Witch teased. "Geh! W-well, it doesn't rule out you either! Didn't the man in your castle answer the raised arm question improperly?" The Red Witch stammered. For a brief moment, the traveler paused, raised a right hand, then asked: ".............By the way..........What hand am I holding up?" "Yes, and did yours confirm the existence of the Witch at the end??? By admitting that the Witch were real in red, does that not also confirm the existence of magic in the story, or would you rather be considered a Truth Teller by saying Witches and magic don't exist???" "...What kind of banquet is this?" The traveler asked, glaring at the young man. Confused, the young man stared back at the traveler. "T-that was only because Lady Bernkastel had arrived earlier and set that up before me! The man in the Blue Castle had already confirmed the existence of Witches in this universe, so I wasn't mistaken!" As far as the Witch goes...." Flustered, the Red Witch stomped the ground relentlessly. "I must have gotten confused or something when she messed up, no wait, I exist so I can't also not exist! This isn't right! Bernkastel did all this! She arrived early and rigged the game, I'm su-" Pat. Pat. Pat. "Stooping as far as slandering? I hope you were just performing an act, because that's rude enough for me to call your outlandish bluff."  The Blue Witch threw her hair in disgust. "Are you saying that I had made a mistake? That doesn't just invalidate the game, but that also questions my own judgements and abilities. I assure you, I am Truthful as I have not made any mistakes. Lambda, you have not made any mistakes either, for you truly have been foolish. There was no mistake in that." The Red Witch stared back, glaring with eyes that could pierce steel. Then... (Track: none) "Repeat what you just said in Bold."  The Blue Witch paused. She paused for one minute. Two minutes. No, time did not exist in this realm. But there is no doubt, the Blue Witch paused. Then, with a single utterance, "Lambdadelta is foolish."  (Track: Dreamendcharger) "Hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh-hoh-oh! Is that the best you got Bern!? Then by that, we are at a standstill. If that's the case, perhaps the others can be the judge and jury for whom among us are Truthful and Liars! As the Witch of Certainty, Lambadelta, I proclaim that we are not purely Liars or Truth Tellers! There is a mix between us!" "Yes, perhaps that's true, this conversation is not moving forward as I had hoped. In that case, as the Witch of Miracles, Bernkastel, despite having been lost in the war in the past, the treasure exists."
