I love Stain's moral code, how he admires Deku's heroism. He's a better villain than the purposely bad Shigaraki. Based on the kind of character he is, I know he's going to be killed eventually, so I'm excited for his final battle.

Really good and really intense episode.

Its awesome to see two characters who barely exchanged a sentence last season suddenly come running to each others aid, ready to team up no questions asked.

The fight choreography was also a lot of fun though sometimes ridiculously exaggerated. Deku making use of the environment by jumping from wall to wall and delivering powerful punches was awesome.

I was a little disappointed by Stain's quirk. Its pretty cool here, but it does pale in comparison to other paralyzing super powers. Thankfully for a guy who only has one super power Stain has some surprisingly strong durability, coordination, and agility (But its anime so why question it).

Cant wait to see what Iida's character does next episode.

Todoroki states how he won't forgive his father for what he's done, but it appears like he's forgiven his mother. She literally poured boiling water on his face. He should be stating that he'll never forgive her either. Why would he be searching for her forgiveness? I hope he develops in a way that he realizes his mother is an garbage human being as well.

She was forced into a loveless marriage in order to be used as a tool to give birth to someone who could surpass Allmight and had been a victim of constant marital abuse (both physically and mentally). Her pleas and complaints fell on deaf ears and was finally pushed to the ultimate breaking point. You should really try to pay more attention. If you did and still think this way, then I have nothing more to say.

Umm... Did you not pay attention to shouto recollection about the time when he met his mom?
I watched the sub ver so i migh be wrong but shouto said that "he told her about everything that had happened and who he is now, and his mother apoligized and cried, and also she forgave him surprisingly quick"

Well i advice you to rewatch even if it's just to wacth the action scenes just as the reason.

You reason to rewatch to the entire episode for the answer to a simple question is silly. I got my answer and am content.

Ida get with it and learn something from Deku and Shouto! True heroes!

She was put into a HORRIBLE situation. But that is no excuse for PERMANENTLY scarring her completely innocent child and putting him through agonizing psychological trauma for a large percentage of his youth. Your true nature is shown by how you react to awful situations and her true nature was definitely revealed.

That wasn't her true nature, she's suffered serious mental illness. She's been in a mental hospital for a reason.

That is it, I think. He said both Iida and his brother were weak, and called them fakes. For Stain maybe it's not just about having the right attitude like All Might or Deku, you need to actually be properly powerful enough. Like, if push comes to shove and there was a truly serious situation, Ingenium wouldn't make the cut or something.

Nope, as the current owner of OfA has to "actively" give the power to the successor.

It was all explained by AM when he gave Deku OfA.

Stain just trained himself like any other person with a non-strength quirk. For instance, Aizawa is great at close combat as well despite his quirk having nothing to do with it.
So is Ojiro (the tail guy in Deku's class). His quirk is just having a tail. Yet, he made it to UA, because he is just that strong.

Wow! What an awesome episode! Stain the Hero Killer is no joke he beat up Iida quick and even Midoria and Todoroki together were having serious trouble.

Iida is in a dark place and Todoroki and Midoriya are trying to reach out and help him. It's also amazing to see how much of an impact Midoriya has had on Todoroki.

The next episode is titled "Climax" so things are only going to get more intense and I can't wait to see what happens next!

I absolutely love that they didn't skip anything here. They animated the fight well, and they did a good job depicting stain's brutality. Hes an ideological purist and somewhat honorable, if you could call him that.

in a different world stain and Deku might have made great partners; in a way they are kind of similar. The only difference is that stain tends to kill those he deems unheroic lol.

Damn, what an intense and hectic episode this was! Hero Killer, Stain, vs Midoriya and Shouto Part 1 was simply just breathtaking. Midoriya rushing in and getting a lucky punch onto Stain first up and then him maneuvering through thin air to land the second punch was definitely something awesome. Shouto's assistance and similarly his entrance was one fascinating scene too. I think it's just about time now, will the two and quite possibly Iida as well hold up until the pros come in against Stain or will they fall? Can't wait for the next episode...

This episode was amazing! it was sooo goood omg!!!!
This season was already a 10/10 for me, can i rate it 11/10? xD
Stain is very strong and now we know his ability, to be honest, i wasn't expecting him to have such ability, oh and he is also smart and his motivation isn't totally stupid. I bet that his family probably died in an accident and the heroes couldn't save them, so now he hates all weak heroes.
Midoriya was so good in this episode, he is much stronger now. Todoroki appeared at the exact moment lol. Even though that they are 2, we can clearly see the differences between students and professional villains.

I've found this season seriously lacking but that might of been my favorite episode of both seasons combined. At least that fight with Stain was great. Deku's developed so much and the way him and Todoroki were fighting and talking really took me by storm. They're real ass heroes now man. Stain might be a boring creep who fights for some weird justice despite being the most 1 dimensional ugly villain man ever but he's got a sick power. When he cut Todoroki and got up in his face to lick that blood I got so hype. Iida gotta step up. To sum it up I think this episode really put a light to the development mentally and physically of both Deku and Torodoki in a great way.

He never held anything against his mother for one, so he wouldn't need to forgive her in the first place and he knew that his father was the root cause of the incident due to his abuse that gave her mental trauma, so he naturally placed all the blame on him. Do you even pay attention to the series? Anyway, what you ask for will never happen since they are rekindling their close bond that they once had. Todoroki visits his mother in the hospital on all of his days off.

What's the point of of throwing that small insult? I'm obviously paying attention. My point is that as Todorok matures hei should eventually place some blame on his mother. She was going through some horrible stuff, but there's never any excuse or justification for putting your innocent child through intense and permanent physical and mental trauma. His father was really in the wrong and she was also really in the wrong. She selfishly disowned her own child because he shared a feature of a man she despised. A truly despicable decision. Her and Todoroki should be haunted by her disgusting mistakes for the rest of their lives. Are you telling me that if some bullies physically attack and scar an alumni he has the justification to shoot up the school? Of course not.

We got an episode of full on action after quite some time and it was worth it.

Midoriya has evolved a lot and he can move the same way other heros do now.

I admit that I was frustrated with Lida for acting like he did but the upcoming episodes are going to he great.

Call it whatever you want unless you want to call it malicious, because it was not. She had a mental breakdown. Todoroki was looking at it from a childs perspective, but for all we know she actually needed to go to a mental hospital because, you know, she did just permanently scar her child because of her madness.

"Mom, I'm going crazy. I can't take it any more. Every day, the children seem to become more and more like him. Shoto.. That childs left side looks very unsightly to me. I can't raise him anymore. I feel like I shouldn't.

Then young Todoroki interupts, the tea boils over, and if you go to 16:27 here http://www.crunchyroll.com/my-hero-academia/episode-23-shoto-todoroki-origin-733235 you will see some of the craziest crazy eyes you can imagine.

Remember that Todoroki is the youngest, obviously, and that he's the fourth child. This women has spent years bearing children for a douchebag who terrifies her and had a psychotic break.

What son wouldn't forgive a mother something like that when those were the circumstances?

Hmm... Y'know, we might actually understand where you're coming from if Todoroki's mother was still completely sane back then. The woman had a complete mental breakdown and had a major psychotic episode. She didn't see Shoto himself at the moment the incident happened. She saw the terrifying visage of the man who had used and tormented her for years. And then things boiled over, literally. She WASN'T herself at that time.

Your point about adverse situations revealing one's true character also falls on the same caveat. My maternal uncle had schizophrenia and I remember him having these violent breakdowns when I was a kid. My aunt couldn't afford sending him for professional care at the time so we settled for confining him in his room once he shows signs of an episode. My uncle begged us in tears to tie him up whenever it happens because he just didn't know what he'll do to us once it does. You can't be saying being violent and treating his loved ones with hostility while muttering things about aliens and Judge Dredd is my uncles true nature?

It's the same with Todoroki's mother. She wasn't mentally sound. She's not in any position to be criticized for her moral standards because her condition doesn't allow her to behave in accordance to them. Heck, she's still in a hospital ward receiving treatment. Shoto visits her regularly, hoping that his efforts can pave the way for her complete recovery.

Oh boy that was spectacular episode!

The dialogues, the fight, every minute was so intense and emotional.

I loved Izuku and Shoto's entry and how they fought together against Stain.
It was even more nice to see Shoto getting some characterization and him encouraging Iida.

Stain is one of the best villains I've seen in the recent times. He has his ideals all sorted out and morals which are on point. He knows what he's doing is evil but doing so, something good will spawn from his actions.
