Some companies spotted the profit in anime industry and is now trying to capitalize it just like any sane businessman, leaving us with delay and no sub, until the end of season.

Now fansubs, there is none of them now, all the main members of it got older and got real jobs and had no time to do fansubs anymore. Fansubbing in general died out cause they couldn't compete with CR and Funi and now we have a situation where the companies that pick up anime don't even sub them (fucking Netflix) so HS has nothing to rip and upload. -4chan

Did we get fucking monkey paw'd? Finally Funi is dead and CR is losing relevance, but now we have shit like Amazon delay subs, Anime Network with watermarked yellow hardsubs, and Netflix being completely fucking retarded. -4chan

It's only time until mega company like amazon and netflix that can outbid anyone to get everything. are we going to witness the revival of fansub dedicated to counter-act this heresy? what do you think guys?????? what will happen next?? is it going to be just like video game, where the era of full passion has turned into full profit? is there anime version GabeN to save us?

It's starting and happening right now and I believe will only get worse simply because Amazon and Netflix are huge company that can do basically anything they want, and they will.

Jesus, you guys never watched anime pre-Horriblesubs did you? Everything used to rely on fansubs. We will survive a couple of shows per season relying on fansubs...
I probably regret this post by now.

that;s the point, fansubs is dead now since simulcast take over, some only do BD. will they be back? that's the question.

Except official subs don't do every show each season, or really delve into past shows that were skipped, so it's up to fansub groups to pick up the slack. Sure they can do their own variations of shows but if they're only doing shows that also got official subs it's basically their fault for their poor choice of shows. Even if the quality of the translation or the subs ends up being better it's a matter of whether people will accept the delay (which is already pretty polarizing and again if they're dying as a result they only have themselves to blame).

But for the post in general, directly quoting 4chan s probably your biggest problem in that it implies you're going entirely based on hearsay and are likely too lazy to even look into the fansub groups that you praise so highly.

What an idiot... The industry's finally growing in the west, helping rate and consider our opinions too. Some years in the future, shows that don't work in japan might find second chances thanks to the western market. Silly pirates like you deserve no voice. Always wanting everything on your on terms without paying a penny. Whats even worse, financing silly fansubbers while these make a proffit on other's work.

I'd like to inform you that there are other people outside the greatest united states of great america who needs access to english-subbed anime. anime fanbase is bigger than tiny USA and tiny "west".

What a joke for an excuse... You don't have acces to CR or Netflix in Lithuania? Amazon doesn't deliver to your country? Are all the frikin online stores banned on your country?? Give me a break...

And my main point ain't about piracy. It's about using the available legal methods instead of crying and jerking about how it's so inconvenient for some to watch an episode later or having differebt subs. Thats just dumb acting. Childish. Expecting always everything without doing anything. They get what they deserve. I'm extremely happy with companies like Netflix entering and providing some competition to the market.

Yea sure, "needs"... And I don't even care about the US. And by west, i mean western civilization. Hole America and Europe. The potential market for Netflix & co. And i repeat myself, piracy is an agravant not the main problem.

amazon to wait 2-3 weeks to get it its not for me all these delay...
crunchyroll streaming sucks no hard feelings but its shit
netflix better but it doesnt have everything in lithuania region dont believe me you can check it in google its not usa where you can get everything :X if you need something better you need to go to american netflix but not lithuania and that sucks

tho if i need to choose definitely crunchy looks most beautiful and most simple :D
