| I met a group of guys when I lived in Texas. I didn't realize they all knew each other IRL, and I met them individually and formed an anime club with them. They were all really normal, well-rounded guys with degrees, good jobs, and other hobbies. They were all attractive too, weirdly, but I never met them with the intention of dating (I've always been in other relationships at the time anyways). We didn't keep in touch, though, which I kind of regret. They're good people. I met someone here in Washington, as well. When I moved here, I didn't have any friends so I hunted down an MAL club that was based in Seattle and found someone else who was looking for friends. We live about 20minutes from each other, and we've been good friends for around 3 years now. Never met anyone from MAL IRL that I didn't like. I've had a pretty good experience with it, and I am always open to meeting other people in my area from MAL because of it. I haven't found another person in my area that wants to meet, though, in spite of searching for more. |
