They can use songs as well or do I daresay "culture"? XD Sounds like opera to me but I could be wrong, classical music trumps pop, well 'almost' anyway in this episode! LOL |

| "Hey, we found out that one alien race was super weak to songs. Let's make that our main/only retaliation option !" That's so stupid. ^^" (at least, it's part of the story, it seems) Well, based on what I saw, looks like the military still has the strongest role in society. I guess Global's wish didn't really become reality. The many reversals compared to Macross (Zentradi having discovered culture and corrupted it into a weapon, young pilot being a paparazzo, etc) make for a fresh start while the parallels or nods to the movie keep it "macross-like", let's hope it continues. Great drawings (Mikimoto + the power of OAVs) and pleasant fusion of 80s and 90s styles but a very bad start musically. 4/5 Everyone complaining about the story as soon as the first OAV. XD |

| Way too many white flashes in the battle, imo. And the gossip was out of place. Good Mikimoto style though, I'm interested in finding out what does the absense of Kawamori means for this show. |
| To be honest I thought that was a bit lacklustre. The characters and story seem to be a bit bland and the drawings look a little off, especially for 1992. |
