| I find it a turn off but if others like it, whatever. lol I do think it can hurt a show that wants you to take it seriously. I would watch High School of the Dead for a thrilling zombie story but all the PANTSU shots make it very distracting and annoying. |

| If the fan service is lite and done well, I don't mind it. However I feel studios a lot of the time make anime that uses as much fan service as possible to sell instead of having good characters or a decent story. Generally I don't like anime that have fan service though it can add a nice touch every now and then. Also, a keyword in this post is "Too much Fan service" of course too much of anything is bad. Some people like their fan service shows, but I wish we could get less of those and more great anime. |

| depends on the show, if it is a show geared towards fanservice, than nothing is too much, if it tries to tell a serious story than there can definitely be too much fanservice. |

| Depends on the anime. If it's ecchi then too much fanservice would not matter but if it's a serious anime then a lot of fanservice will kill it. Monster would be unwatchable if it had a lot of sexual fanservice inserted into it. |

| Depends on the type of show. If it's supposed to be raunchy, for the sake of comedy or otherwise, that's fine. So long as the fanservice makes sense in the narrative, and doesn't happen in the first episode. (Unless that's the joke). My problem is like, accidental pervert scenes or falling on a girl and accidentally grabbing her boob, or something else that feels like it doesn't belong in the narrative. |

| This is kind of a dumb question to ask anyway. The presence of "too" much fanservice implies that it is a bad thing anyway, because too much means that it goes beyond your tolerance for something. |

| And as always, everyone flocks immediately to 'sexual tittilation' the moment 'fanservice' is mentioned, even though fanservice can take on a plethora of forms. Not to mention that if a show is entirely geared around tittilating the viewer, such as in To Love Ru, it can hardly be classed as fanservice at that point - unless you want to say that the entertainment industry itself is fanservice, which would make the term entirely pointless. |
