| I didn't know I was attractive...until I thought I was attractive. People gave me compliments, but I didn't believe it. Really, I had low-esteem. Then, I grew more confident and realized I'm about 2 points above my relatives on the 1-10 scale. My parents don't have any special talents, either. So, my sister and I joke about where our genes came from. XD |

| I turned out pretty attractive, my parents aren't ugly, they just let themselves...go. Like if my mom and dad were skinny they would be pretty attractive. A lot of the times, looks just depend on one's laziness. No matter how ugly you think you are, if you really wanted to, you can make yourself attractive. By doing simple things like taking care of your skin, your health, staying fit, nice hair, some sense of style in your clothing, and in severe cases of ugliness, plastic surgery is always an option. Don't blame your genes people, blame your commitment to whether or not you want to be attractive. |
| Lol, some people thinking that beauty or lack thereof isn't something you're born with or that can just be attained through proper grooming habits. No, some people have an unfortunate collection of poor eye spacing, big nose/ears, over or under bite, mottled skin, etc. that proper brushing and lotion isn't going to fix. Maybe plastic surgery, but that's an extreme correction that still might only make small differences and is a luxury expense many won't have the option for, especially early in life. Likewise, some people are born with perfectly proportioned, symmetric features, good complexions, straight teeth, etc. Life isn't fair, what more can be said? On topic, it happens that sometimes ugly people have attractive kids or attractive people have ugly kids. It's a crapshoot of dominant and recessive genes from two different sources mixing to make someone new. Sometimes those features from ugly parents pair well and give you a better looking kid, sometimes a couple unfortunate recessive traits rise up to the top from the lineage of attractive parents. |
| I look exactly like my dad when he was my age except for the eye color. He used to be pretty good looking but because of severe drinking/smoking/having to work in the sun the entire time he now looks 10 years older than he actually is. Good lesson for me to actually take care of myself. |
