I dropped it at 13 when the sailor fuku was cut up and the show was trying so hard to make me care about a piece of fabric. It was the straw that broke the camels back, the pacing problems really didn't encourage me to keep going. The only episode I genuinely enjoyed was 12.

Does this show literally save anime?

Because it's good.
But no anime can save anime, people save anime, which is what I do.

Seriously though, klk doesn't exactly line up with the ideals certain anime fans may have.
I love it, but if you didn't like it before don't go back to it now.

First of all... anime doesn't need saving...lol

And yeah.... if you already have a problem with its pacing.... I don't think that this great work of fiction is for you.

You sound like you've made up your mind already, which is fine, but I'm not sure what kind of answer you're expecting. Why continue a show of which you only enjoyed one episode?

Just do it.
KLK is worth watching in my opinion. Not the greatest show ever, but good enough.

Gets much better at ep 18 and onwards, but if you didn't like it up till now, you probably won't like it later on.

Dont give up, you will eventually care for that piece of fabric. Also yes it gets alot better later on.

I think this is a good place to unleash @imaishi
The peasant is bound by the king. The king is bound by the peasants and their kingdom. But the Viking is bound to nothing but themselves.

Just in case the show got good at 14, which would be a ridiculous amount of time to wait before a show got good.

THe show gets more "serious" after episode 12, and the plot starts progressing more. Some people like it significantly more or less after that point, but if you didn't like the first 13, I doubt you'd like it afterwards.

I got that feeling too, since Kill la Kill isn't the most commun type of anime, but my love for Satsuki made me finish the anime, cause she is a total badass and she so damn fine :D

In case anyone was invested in whether or not I liked the show, I went back and watched 14-17. Show continued to do nothing for me. A shame, considering how much I liked TTGL I would have thought this would have done something for me instead of nothing. At least I can drop this and delete it off my hard drive without feeling bad now.

Totally saved anime, guys!

It's probably when the show got 'serious' was what threw you off.
But if you didn't ever like it at any point of time you shouldn't have gone for it in the first place, it's not for you..

It was more the opposite. It starts off so wacky and goofy with so many episodes that really didn't add anything to the plot. Then, 12 episodes in, they remembered that the anime had a story and finally got serious. Except they wasted so much time there's no chance for me to actually care about the characters or whether a piece of fabric got cut up.

And I would say it was for me. There's a lot in there I like jumping in (Lots of elements from TTGL, some strong female characters even if they can't resist for a second from showing their entire anatomy), but none of them did anything for me.

Ryuuko was serious from the beginning, maybe you missed that. KLK is also comedic to the end, though...

It saved anime, yes it did, it's one of the best 1/10 I've seen.
