| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- So Daiba gets tricked again. This comes to no shock to me. The last episode was a bigger shock if anything. The plot is becoming duller and duller. |
| As usual those Mazonians aren't to be trusted! That said Captain Harlock sure is a one man army! Pretty decent episode, let's see what's next. |

| You know, we spent those few episodes setting up a significant number of dissenters in the Mazone fleet... and then the Arcadia Crew makes contact only to discover that that no, it's just a trap. That's kind of disappointing. |

| The individual episodes are rather good, but the overall plot is advancing very inconsistently. We've now totally forgotten the main Mazone fleet while chasing Mayu who still doesn't seem like a real character but more like a plot device. The narrator keeps promising a big confrontation and a revelation of Harlock's true character, but since they're always going on side quests, it starts to feel annoying that they're trying to force all these individual episodes into a grand narrative. That being said, I do enjoy these episodes as tiny stories on their own. Also, Harlock, please stay off the liquor. I know it's a part of the pirate shtick, but when you're on the ship you're always imbibing something. You need sharp wits to battle the Mazone! |
| It's a shame that it was a trap. Harlock and Tadashi were lucky to get out of there with their lives. I wonder what will happen to that little Mazone girl? |

| nah this is kinda a streak of bad episodes till 32 (well acording to imdb), that moment of daiba making the leaf sound remind me of berserk hahah, watching mime do that at the start was funny aswell haha |

| Interesting to see the crew of the Arcadia become stir crazy after having nothing to do. I can’t believe Dr. Zero would turn down a kiss from Miime! Once again the Mazons are up to their usual tricks. I thought they might actually be telling the truth this time. Daiba rushes in anyway. Like us, he’s growing impatient waiting for something to happen… |
