| Hey, it's your fault for clicking on this if you claim that the English language makes your ears bleed. ANYWAY, been to a few panels (and watched a few streams) of English anime voice actors, I just want to comment on how many of them have a sense of wit and general decency and presence during panels, that I find lacking even in A-list actors at Comic-Con. But don't take my word for it, J Michael Tatum alone in a Q & A panel is more than enough to entertain you. I also enjoyed sessions with Monica Rial and her various panels such as Panty & Stocking (one of those shows I find the dub far superior than the original). The only issues for me are the usual: the less than lackluster questions by fans, though a few of them managed to sprout incredibly insightful ones. | Personally I feel that quality wise American Cartoon VO actors >>>>> American anime dubbers by far Though I do like Tatum, Laura Bailey, Kari Wahlgren and a few other anime dubbers but they're not many But I'm sure most of them are ok people |

| The thing I love about meeting anime voice actors in person is that even the most popular ones with the raging fangirls like your Vic Mignognas and your Todd Haberkorns are still very approachable. I mean, the fact that they're travelling all the way over here to Australia for conventions shows that they're definitely popular but they never give off that 'I'm above you' vibe. And contrary to the vocal minority belief, many of them do care about the shows they work on. You probably won't here Monica Rial talking about how much she loves working on awful ecchi harem shows for Funimation and Sentai but there's a great extra feature on the first Michiko & Hatchin Blu-ray where she talks up a storm about how much she loves the show. Also as others have said Crispin Freeman is just amazing. Incredibly talented voice actor for one but also a very smart, likeable guy to boot. |
