| I enjoyed this manga (because I'm probably dumb) until this chapter. Now I've dropped it. Yes, there were some gross things happening when the MC was sexualizing underage girls and his own family ffs. But I wanted to wait and see if there would be any romance between Rudy and Roxy. So I kept reading and I gave it a chance. Now, this chapter was ok with Roxy making a comeback and a small filler side story, showing a similarity with Sam and Rudy's father (and apparently Rudy) being adulterous. So I thought, hmm, maybe there is some depth here. But what happened next totally shocked me. First, Pamela was convinced to marry Dohn, just because Roxy told her she should. Sorry, not realistic. Second, when Roxy tripped, and they stared at her, I thought it was pretty stupid to add that. When it showed Roxy's reaction, to act like it didn't happen, I thought, well ok, maybe that's ok then, if it adds to her character that way. But then the Bard and Pamela basically fantasized about seeing her panties again, which was super gross. And I realized the author wanted me to enjoy it. So I thought, nope, the author is just being gross. And I usually enjoy ecchi and fanservice, but only when the character in question is ok with it, and also sometimes when the tone of the series is not so serious, like in typical harem manga where the MC sees her panties and she runs off angry. That's still pretty bad but at least it's not taking itself seriously. This series is pretty serious, it's trying to develop something, and then we get stupid stuff like this panty shot out of nowhere, at the worst possible time. Am I supposed to enjoy that? When the character in question isn't given a chance to react and it's done behind her back like that... that's not ok. It's dumb. Especially since her reaction would not be pretty. It's like all that Bard does is go around sniffing panties, and so does the newly married Pamela. What the ....? I can't read any more of this.. And what's with booby warrior princess? If everyone else wore skimpy stuff then I could understand why she would be skimpy too, but she's very out of place just by herself, and so I'm not sure what tone this manga is going for. |
