what you described isn't actually what i call feminism. i call that an inaccurate presentation of women too, and something too extremist to have any positive value. feminism in its ideal sense, represents equality between genders (or rather, all across the spectrum). not in the uniform way that everyone has to act the same, but in the way that all sides balance each other equally. nor in that women should go around hitting men for empowerment, because that isn't equality thus not feminism should be.

This is about third wave feminism not feminism though.Not all people for equality are for third wave feminisms methods. I'm sorry girl, but the world isn't safe. Truth be told. And nothing you teach or do will change that fact. And as a functioning person in the real world, you have to expect danger. Does it suck that there's danger an evil? Absolutely. But we can't just fix evil. Some people are just evil. And we must do everything to prevent danger.

Why do we wear seat belts? I mean that's just a precaution as well? It doesn't mean if you go out and drive without a seat belt you will DIE IN A TRAGIC ACCIDENT. No. it's a precaution that in case god forbid it happens, you are in the safest position for it. Much like if you are not feeling safe walking around at night, it is in your best interest to take the safest route possible. And these things are there because the world isn't perfect.

You're not going to fix evil, my sheltered girl. All you can do is try to avoid it as much as possible, and be prepared as best you can if again, god forbid it happens.

the analogy is that we can't stop every person who might rape you from raping you. No matter how hard we try unless we imprison everyone who is not you there will still be a chance that you get raped. Taking steps that prevent that from happening is similar to wearing a seat belt because while we can't prevent you from getting in a fatal car accident, we can take steps to prevent you dying. Yes it's true the danger of getting raped sucks, but the danger of getting in a fatal car accident also suck.
