So, which is more important to you, money or love, which is the ultimate goal in your eyes? Why?

Also another question, would you rather money and no love, or love and no money?

For clarification love refers to love from a partner aswell as from family members.

Both. Money buys happiness, love pays them.

Also another question, would you rather money and no love, or love and no money?

Tough decision.

I say love.

That would keep anyone happy.

Then I'd forget about my lack of money.

I'd rather have love and no money.

I'm not living to be some sad sob, yknow.
Now I see the secret of the making of the best persons.
It is to grow in the open air and to eat and sleep with the earth.
-Walt Whitman

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Cool. You can end up like the next Charlie Sheen, not knowing how you got HIV.

Nobody would love your terrible personality. Money is the only thing you've got going for you, and that isn't going to happen either.

No, money does buy happiness. Anything I want I'd get. Girls would be flocking towards me.

Plus, I can just pretend I'm not rich and find my true love, and once after months of dating or something I can reveal to her I'm rich and there we go. True love, and rich.

Fuck outta here

Neither is more important than the other but I'd rather have money so I could be alone in my luxury condo. A lack of money breeds unhappiness anyway if the lack of money is severe, and it can ruin relationships, especially so if the couple starts out with money and soon becomes rather broke.

I wouldn't put a value on either though really, since both would be considered extremely lucky/valuable to have.

But I'm not dirt poor, and the question doesn't apply to everyone. I feel like at 22, If I made 100,000 k a year, I would consider myself set and then choose love. Right now, I'd choose money though.

Money, you fool.
Why are we still here? Just to suffer? Every night, I can feel my leg... and my arm... even my fingers. The body I've lost... the comrades I've lost... won't stop hurting... It's like they're all still there. You feel it, too, don't you? I'm gonna make them give back our past."

Ok, you are a 35 year old man. What is your life like right now? You are problably married. You have children. You have your own family. You already have the ultimate ideal of love. Your very own family. But what do you do? You're working. You have a job. What for? Making money. You will continue making money, for decades. All the way up until you are 60 years old or more. This simple comparison shows just how much harder money is to earn compared to love.

Money can not buy what brings "me" happiness. Therefore I say love. Though, money is important to an extent, without money that love you hold would be tested quite a bit.

Love. True love is something that never wanes over time and lasts a long time. Love can be taken away in an instant through something as simple as cheating or something as terrible as death, making impossible for some people to find again.

Money can always be earned and only becomes more important when you have people to support. Supporting yourself if you live alone is pretty easy.

If you're suffering psychological or physical domestic violence, being slaved around by them or denied access to food, clothing, bed, education and internet connection, they probably hate you.
Otherwise, they may be a little disappointed but ultimately I guess the problem lies with you not understanding each other.
Talk it out. Or move out, live on your own and come back. Some space always helps.
I also thought my parents must hate me but about two years ago our relationship started to get better.
Family is important. Lovers will cheat on you and banks will go bankrupt but families usually stick together to the very end.

I'm afraid it's a yes to those first two options.
I wish it was true that family stuck together to the very end, but that doesn't seem to have been the case in my experience, and my own family of course.

I hate to compare love with money because one is emotion and the other is material. If someone asked me "which is more important, love or loyalty", or "love or honesty"; some other character or emotional trait then it would be fair comparison.

Love is important for emotional and personal development. Love of oneself, love of your family, love of your spouse, being in love....all that emotional stuff which makes you feel complete.

Money in important for survival in this modern day world. The amount you have, earn or spend will determine how important it is to you.

Money is not important for happiness.

Love is not important for happiness.

Happiness is a choice you make whether you have love or money. Happiness stems from that place where you feel peace of mind, mental balance and contentment. This should depend on you and NOT whether or not you have either love or money.

Choosing your life partner should depend on what you want for your future. Are you seeking emotional security, financial security or both?

There is nothing wrong with choosing to love someone rich, nor is there anything wrong with choosing someone poor just for love.

If money is important to you then choosing someone for love alone may be a wrong choice.

As I said your choice depends on what's most important to you.
