Especially when people have a lot going on in their lives. As for the incest topic, it appears everything I have to say has been said already anyways... except maybe about the interesting principles regarding genetic attraction, such as: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genetic_sexual_attraction and, more relevantly, the Westermarck effect. That is the idea that when two people of the opposite gender are raised closely together they are less likely to be sexually interested in one another. It's probably why most (myself included) don't find their siblings attractive. I don't think that cause enough to ban it entirely, though (or reason at all, for that matter...). The more potent arguments to that effect have already been posted, and, of course, it's easy to see open sexual interaction between consenting siblings a-okay if they use proper conception techniques properly. (From a logical perspective, at least...). Arguments against that kind of case are, in my experience, completely due to social conditioning. Ie 'morals'. |

Easier said than done, usually. ^ exactly... i've actually got a story, where it involved a relative of mine who was caught in a fling with a long distant relative of theirs(not sure if it was their 1st or 2nd cousin) whilst travelling overseas...now considering that they never knew at the time that they were family till a year later, they were bliss with ignorance on their part until he actually came over to meet her family a year later, only to find out from my aunt that they were cousins....they no longer talk or see each other about it and every time i bring it up, my cousin feels repulsed that she even did what she did(so i'm guessing they did more then just hit 1st base).... ...so what it boils down to is ppls awareness..and upbringing...where some ppl will think my cousins crazy and should have followed love, others will think it disgusting(which i believe she thought that way) |
