They gave Ryu some things that would make SF fans right at home. A few attacks are done with actual command inputs outside of the traditional Smash Bros fare, and he's super fun to play as regardless. Roy is different enough from Marth but similar enough to Melee that it's no problem. Plus, Jun Fukuyama. |
| Hell yes I just bought Roy and Lucas with some leftover Eshop funds I had. I got the news an hour or so ago from one of my friends on facebook.. I'm just trying to download this update now so I can actually test them out before I go to work in a couple of hours. I'll get Ryu+Suzaku Castle, the classic n64 stages, when I get paid on Thursday morning.. EDIT: Whelp this update is taking so long with my horrible internet speed, guess Ill have to test everything when I get home much later in the night ugh. |

| Can't wait to see the tech that people will discover with Ryu. Good to see Roy back too. I'm more interested in getting this two than in Mewtwo and Lucas |

| I just downloaded all the available DLC yesterday (aside from Mewtwo who I got a while back), and honestly, I like the Mii Fighter outfits and headgear waaaaay better...I mean, there's already more than enough Fire Emblem reps, three of which are clones, and Ryu just doesn't seem to fit in... Here's hoping they'll make better roster decisions in the future. |

| ok man Roy an Lucas are f*cking monsters, fought a bunch of Roys on for Glory an they can easily build up damage on you an then kill you with quick f smash at 80-90% then fought against a Lucas an for the first time since i started playing i got 0 to death an only managed to do a 30% damage against him using one of my mains (ma precious Lemmy) i can see a bunch of nerfs coming soon an wth man? im sure that Lucas has the new Hoo Haa |

| Roy can so easily kill with his Up special once you get them around 80%, which is easy to do since Roy adds on % like a monster. |

I obviously meant to include Roy...still, I think Marth and Robin would've been good enough, as Roy and Lucina are little more than clones, and Ike isn't relevant or prominent enough to have been kept in SSB4. I think Dr. Mario (another clone) and Bowser Jr. (cute gimmick that actually works to some extent, but still not one of the better additions to the roster) could've definitely been left out, but not in favor of more FE reps...if anything, Metroid, Star Fox, and F-Zero actually *need* more reps (though, that's another topic altogether). |
