| We're in the same boat. It's been like 2 months and a half since i felt unmotivated to continue watching anime. I gave KLK a try, couldn't continue watching it so i put it on-hold (haven't dropped it yet because it wasn't bad) and now i'm trying to watch Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-Kun (key word "trying") so yeah, the only thing you can do is give yourself even more time without watching anime, don't give anything a try because if you do and happen to not feel moitvated to continue watching that show you'll feel even worse than before so stop watching anime alltogether for a good amount of time and when you really feel like it, start watching. I once took a break from anime that lasted 1 year and a half. It sounds depressing but it's the only thing to do, sadly. The "watch what is considered a masterpiece" thing didn't work for me either, but that's because i've never been a huge anime fan. |

I don't want to quit watching anime for good. Just two months ago, I was able to watch loads of anime. I could not even imagine quitting anime forever without having seen all of the great shows anime has to offer. There's so many anime I want to get to but I never feel like I'm in the mood to watch them. I just want to be able to enjoy anime like I used to. Sometimes i loose the mood for movies or books or anime, or manga etc. It's normal that sometimes you don't have a mood for something. Just do something else and you'll get the mood later. | As a few more people added non-serious suggestions, I'll give you a good one which was implied in my first post. Start dropping shows. If you're not being entertained, don't force yourself to watch something. There are only a handful a shows where you must "suffer" (not really) through boring parts to get to amazing things and even during those shows you can basically figure out if it will be a deep show or if it is just bad. You need to decide if you want to be an "anime fan" or a "good anime fan". I don't think being an anime fan is working for you right now, so just look for the rare good things and drop the rest. Best of luck. |

| take a longer break and/or mix things up by switching to another media (books, games, etc.), or try taking up something entirely new if you're up for it. other than that, go with the flow and start again whenever you find yourself wanting to - on the upside, even if it takes a year or two, that just means there will be new series out and more episodes accumulated if the anime is still airing. on a more serious note, losing interest in things you used to enjoy can be a sign of depression, which i hope isn't the case but is worth mentioning all the same. |

| I got back into anime after I quit smoking weed for 2 weeks. Perhaps you can relate that to some other event going on in your life. If you have something to keep you busy and social, then this may be the reason. I for one watch anime before I go to sleep or whenever I'm not at work. Anime is for entertainment purposes and if you're not entertained, well shit.. Find something entertaining I suppose. That's my advice |

| This happens occasionally for me too. I usually end up not watching any because I become lazy or bored with watching anime. From there, I just take breaks by gaming or watching something else. Then, one day, I feel the urge to watch anime again and bam full on anime marathoning ^^ Although, marathoning is another thing that makes me want to stop watching anime for a bit too. It's too much for me to take in all at once sometimes. |

Not every anime is good. Even it's "said to be" good, it doesn't mean it will fit your taste. A really good one that fit may only come once every few years. That's how rare as I observe. Unless you're talking about some of the new anime that have been put out recently. The moe trend is really starting to make finding good anime more and more difficult. |

Sometimes it only takes a week before the motivation returns, sometimes it takes longer, it depends. I took a break from anime and I only became interested again after more or less 2 years. It won't really make you able to enjoy anime by forcing yourself to continue watching. Getting other hobbies is a sound advice, it keeps you busy and helps you getting experience with other kinds of stuff. Alternatively, if you have friends who also watch anime, try to do something together. It lessens the boredom if you can watch and talk with someone else about the anime your are watching. There are also anime clubs, I'm sure you could join and make new acquaintances at the same time. |

| Trying a different genre sounds like a good idea; I tend to prefer lighthearted stuff when I get bored of anime. You could also go for a rewatch of one of your 10s to put you back in the mood (and since it's a 10, you know you'll enjoy it), or go for a show considered similar to one of them. You could even try picking up an episodic anime so you can watch it in small doses every once in a while without having to force yourself to continue it. I highly recommend Space Dandy :) |

| I suppose it depends on why you were watching in the first place. Perhaps you watched to pass time and now you're too tired or don't have the time. For me it's all about the premise and the resulting quality of art and audio - mostly the premise. Try evaluating why you liked your favourite anime and seek out other anime with similar characteristics. It's like a book, if it's good you can't put it down; if not then it's tough to get through and you lose interest. That's the way I view it. |

| A few weeks isn't that long of a break. Give it a year or so, and eventually you'll likely want to watch Anime again. Also, perhaps you could check out some older Anime, as it would definitely be a breath of fresh air from the mostly newer stuff you've watched. Trust me, this is a phase that a very large number of people go through. Just give it some more time. |

Can't say I've burned out off that (thank God for that), but I've definitely regained my motivation to watch anime. |
