It had so much potential. Maybe I was just expecting to much, but if I could go back I would have saved my time and stopped at around episode 3.

4/10 certainly won't be bothering with the movies.

The interesting thing would be if he got his memories back and his blank expression would be from a memory overload. If they did wipe his memories, they better explain it very clearly and redevelop the romance angle again. Anyway great cliffhanger ending.

Series kept me Interested the whole way through even if it was a little slow at times. I can appreciate the story, I would have liked to see some of the other 12s stories more.

Somehow personally I am disappointed. Didnt expect such a big cliffhanger ending... I dont like that at all. Therefore: 8/10
(would have given only 7/10, but the OP is such an amazing piece of art, its worth one point.)

After finished the last 2 episodes I got something in my mind.

What if we think of this anime as "A dead man creates the game and control it"? And when I begin to think of it that way there is something ring my bell, yeah Gumdam00.

EoE -> Gundam00
TV anime -> TV anime 1st season
Mr. Outside -> Aeolia
Juiz -> Veda
Akira -> CB

The 1st movie -> TV anime 2nd season
Akira became a king -> CB gained 00 Raiser
Akira lost all of his money(Juiz) -> CB lost Veda

The 2nd movie -> The movie
A journey to learn the true about the game and the man behind the game?

But don't get me wrong, I am not trying to compare the 2 anime and not by in any mean. I am only trying to say that they share some idea between the 2 anime.

Just a thought but..
I see the same complaint over and over that if he had truly wished to be 'king' then the Supporter would be sent after him. However i believe this can be explained by the case of the good doctor. He had wished to help the elderly in a world that no longer took care of them. And so Juiz completed his one wish into tiny wishes that were completed over time.
Even with her amazing powers Juiz can't instantly install him as king of all so clearly his money will run out, but I'm sure he's banking on him winning game before it all runs out. And remember Juiz said "next time we meet" and "prince". I'm sure that all means something. Ha!
Otherwise i felt the final episode was satisfying. A bit rushed, with the emphasis in perhaps the wrong places, but well orchestrated at least. Yes, very satisfying.
The homage to Spike was well worth the corniness.

cool ending, patriot missiles and F15 jetfighters saved the day ; )
It was funny as the group was surrounded by the Neets.

I hadn't expected a nearly happy ending.

but.......
Wouldn't it be normal to attack the ships which fired the missiles ?
well,who cares XD

That was without a doubt the most "epic" last episode I have seen in a while and I am using that totally overused word on purpose here.

Totally cool scenes in this last episode. This was without a doubt the best anime this season and I am looking so forward to the movies.

9/10 because not everything was perfect plot-wise, but it's a good 9.

People think that because in the end when his phone is making the same noise as in the beginning when he had his memories erased and he has a similar facial expression, that he must had done it again.
I don't believe that though.

Meh, I don't know, I just don't see a reason for him to have erased his memory either. But I do believe something was done there. I wonder if he even had to pay for this one. What if it was something he had put on his phone, so he could do it freely without paying every time?

Great series, would fall somewhere on my top ten favorite series of all time but not exactly sure where. The preview said that there will be a worldwide release of the movies in November so I really hope I see it then and don't have to wait for a fan-subbed DVD rip several months later.

In the intro to the first episode Saki was flipping through her pictures and said the Akira was a prince, then she asked just how did he become a prince anyways? I guess at the end when he said he wanted to become king and Juiz told him that she would like to see him as a prince next time they meet we shouldve seen that coming at some point as an answer to her question.

Quite an interesting thought.

Restoring his memories contrary to erasing them once more would seem more logical to me, too.
We can't say anything for sure without the movie, but I am also with the people saying that something happend to him during that scene.

Him getting back his memories instead of wiping them off again is exactly what I thought too.

No matter how you look at it, a second memory-wipe is very pointless [especially after he ~probably~ got a step closer to saving the nation]

Maybe he had lots of troublesome memories from his past he wanted to let go to be able to concentrate solely on the game. [I'm refering to the episode where he vaguely remembers his mother.] And after he is made king, and clears up the mess, his previous memories would get back to him.

You know what would be funny? A Eden of the East Live action movie starring Jim Carey. I would love to see him all powerful once again. Make him be like god again. I would love to see him standing on the carousel and just saying "Bang!" a bunch of times. Though it was a huge cliffhanger I still thought of it as a good series and it makes me want to watch the movie more than ever. 5/5.

I don't know if it bugged you but it did bug me:
Episode 1 was just rofl. I mean.. real proper english in a Japanese anime.. I was like... I wonder if the Japanese people watching that understood what they were saying. They probably had to get a translator to sub it in Japanese XD. And then what the f*ck is up with the blue haired chick? wings!?! wtf!?!?!

What was Akira's last wish? after he said he wanted to become King of the Country? He said "And another thing."

Also what were they staring off to at the end? When Akira puts his phone in the girl's pocket and she starts to Narrate:

"And just like that, He became a Prince. In this country with no kings..." great line!

Watch more anime and you'll completely understand how mediocre this anime is and targets the 18+ female crowd. Look at how blank the protagonist is and look at the ultra rich guy she manages to bag and regardless of how ordinary she is, he still wants her. That's Josei.

I'm relieved that Pants survived. And Johnny Hunter is still alive too. >_> I'm sad that Takizawa decided to brainwash himself again. Still wondering why he did so. Did he not think he could be a good king with Saki and his past?

Liked how the prologue is finally explained. He didn't want to become king but someone had to it. And that's the sacrifice Saki talked about all the way in the beginning. I remember a few people thinking that meant he was going to die at the end.

well that explains where the NEETs went to, and also why. and the Japan is once agian saved by them, apparently if you get 20,000 NEETs thinking of saving a country, and give them internet access they can accomplish a lot

This was one awesome anime! A lot of questions were answered in this one last episode, though I still have a lot left so... I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the movie! Hopefully any loose ends will be tied up, although I thought this ending wrapped up the series pretty nicely. :D Perhaps the only thing that bugs me about this anime is that I thought it could have a few more episodes to really live out the full potential of the series, although I suppose the movie will cover that!

I can't believe I thought Pantsu was dead... All that subcutaneous fat must have acted as a shield when the car hit him... XD''

I actually didn't notice that Akira brainwashed himself at the end, but everyone else is mentioning it so I guess it must be true...

Anyway, I really enjoyed this series!

I was thinking why would he want to wipe his memory. Couldn't it be the other way around : now he has found the one who knows his past, his strange phone and believes in him, he asks for his memories to return?

Serie: 9/10 (great animation, great story, great characteres, great music but perfection is not in this world)
I'll watch the movies for sure (as soon there are subs).
