Archer is barelly keeping up with Caster's attack on his own(anime sort of fails at showing that in this sadly but Caster consistently has the upper hand till Archer shoots his arrow). Carrying Shirou he has on chance and Shirou knows it so he is trying to get Archer to unburden himself or they b oth die. |

Shirou was upset that Archer risked his own life in order to save him. He believed that he was being a burden to Archer and couldn't stand Archer (or anyone) risking himself for him due to his hero complex and lack of sense of self. The VN reveals this to us through one of his monologues, but the anime didn't include it. |
