| all of them But seriously, after reading through it a bit, they aren't even getting the more obvious yaoi-subtext couples from some of the ones they pick! Yuusuke and Hiei (really) over Itsuki and Sensui? Really? That one is actually text! Neither is the website particularly well written, and the evidence isn't damning, even when dealing with couples where it should be. On the whole, it's mostly delusion, pay it no mind. |

| Thing is... to everyone... It depends on the level of the subtext.... If it can be taken as being just close friends, I can watch it.... I know trigun isn't gay, yet this person still listed it for some reason That being said... I'll watch any anime as long as the main character isn't gay... It's okay if they're minor characters, but if it's a supporting character I don't want them to be too important or portrayed as badass... So as long as the main characters aren't gay it's fine. I'm not homophobic, it's just that I can't connect or feel reverence or attachment if they're gay... And if I can't like a character, how can I enjoy the show while disliking the protagonist |

I recommend watching NGE, the "gay" subtext is basically nonexistent. There should be no reason for you to be bothered by it. Shinsekai yori is interesting. Basically everyone is bisexual. (it's explained of course) The main protagonist is female by the way, but there are three other male main characters. Now, the interactions of the characters are more straight forward when it comes to their bisexuality. In reality only one episode has any scene involving a bisexual relationship. One with two men and another with two women. Don't know if you care about yuri, but neither scene last long anyways. In the other episodes a romance is simply hinted (one between girls btw), but is nothing explicitly shown. I would't let one scene stop you from watching Shinsekai yori, considering it is a great anime. The characters show more interest for the opposite gender anyways. |
