| For all the power both sides possess, it boils down to a simple war of attrition. Each round, they take out someone on the other side, whoever has someone left in the end wins. No real assassinations, going in and getting out before anybody knows what - or even *that something* - happend. And for all the power Esdeath has, she managed to take out one guy. And Susanoo could, at least in theory, escaped too. Whether everyone actually managed to get away is something else, but it's not like Esdeath can follow them indefinetively, given that she will be on her own - she would have to break off sooner or later, she simply isn't strong enough to take them all on alone, or she would have done so over and over. Maybe they should have done exactly that..with the general already taken out, it was Esdeath vs the whole (whats left anyways) of Night Raid. Guys like Wave etc. didn't even make a move from what we've seen. And while i neither really love nor hate Mine, the way she died was stupid, like most deaths..she wasn't really hurt. She got tossed around, threw up blood..so what. She had worse, before. And they could have administered emergency treatment right away, instead of doing nothing until they are back. And the one death that would be a bit better, at least the direct cause, with Susanno getting frozen and shattered, core destroyed, heart pierced..he is the one who lives again and again - and dies in the end anyways, as he is the one who secures the escape. |
| I'm glad Mine died but this anime still sucks major ass. First cour I give this anime a 9/10, the 2nd cour I give this a 1/10. One of the most disappointing anime I've ever seen. I hope Tatsumi dies as well. That bitch had the nerve to go for Mine instead of the main character after whom the series is named. I hope they all die apart from Akame who lives to tell this tale and grow old and have a wonderful life. Fuck the rest. Susano is also pretty cool but he died lol. | Wow, so many people butthurt at characters dying. People always complaining how characters in other shows have too much plot armor and don't die but when they start dying, the exact same shit happens reverse wise. |

| Akame ga Kill went from epic win to epic shit. They skipped so much, and now they spoil the impending doom of Mine. Not only is it chronologically incorrect up the ass, the deaths are short lived and absolute shit. Completely unfaithful to the manga. Why try to change anything when it isn't broken? 5/10 |

| I was hoping for Incursio second level but ofcourse the anime decide to go a different route. At least two more characters died, plus Susanoo I guess. The last two episodes has been meh. |

I dont hate anime original ends, it can't be helped since the manga is still on-going and sometimes they can even end up better than the source material but THIS is just horrible, mine death aside there are plenty of actual things to that make it legitimately bad. |

The story has only diverged so far on minor details that have already been mostly rectified and aligned with the manga, what did they expect was going to happen? well people were already upset @ ep19 when they rushed/skipped the whole assassination plan and did it off screen(as a manga reader i assumed the esdese battle was a good place to end the season)but then @20 skipped right to shura's intro and death. most readers gave up already and are just following as a trainwreck to see how low it can go at this point. I've already seen my fair share of failed adaptations so I'll just be content with how faithful it was so far. |

| Great episode 9/10. Glad the Esdeath vs Susanoo fight was animated and not just omitted like what was thought before. Even though I knew already that Susanoo would die I still shed a tear. Mine dieing was great but I would have preferred if Esdeath was the one that killed her . I also didn't like how Budou was defeated, he should have taken some serious damage from pumpkin but not be so completely rekt by it. The way things are going I think White Fox will kill out the remaining members of Night Raid except for Tatsumi. Akame might die next episode then Najenda dies from overusing Magatama and then Leone could be killed by Esdeath. |
