| I'm reading the VN currently and I finished Fate route and about to finish UBW either later today or tomorrow. Haven't started HF yet but I will. Anyways I searched it up and found out that there are so many other Fate works and was wondering if they are worth checking out and which ones are involved with the main storyline. I heard hollow ataraxia was a sequel so I'll probably check that out but I don't really wanna watch spin offs like the ilya one that came out recently. Have you guys really checked all these out?? The only sequel to FSN is Hollow Ataraxia. And FZ is the prequel. But both of these should be played/watched after you finish FSN VN. |
| Probably not worth watching 2006 anime or reading the manga. If you don't like spin offs you won't like Carnival Phantasm either. You could watch the 2010 UBW movie for the action scenes but it's really not that great (the current series is better anyway). Fate/Prototype was the authors first version of FSN. Tiger Colosseum and Unlimited codes are fighting games. Fate/Strange Fake is a spinoff/alternate type thing. Fate/Extra is an RPG. Fate/Apocrypha is another alternate parallel world. Fate/HA, Fate Zero, and Fate/Stay Night UBW series are worth checking out. If you like the author's work you could check out kara no Kyoukai (7 movie series) or Tsukihime (the first VN they released) |

| I've been watching lets plays of fate hollow. It's like a sitcom I can just watch bits of pieces and it's still hilarious. Oddly enough I've never touched Kara No Kyoukai or Tsukihime, but I really want to see Mahoyo translated. |

| Avoid FSN Manga Avoid DEENFSN2006 Avoid DEENFSN2010 Avoid non-existent Tsukihime adaptation. Ataraxia is good after FSN. Zero is good after FSN. Prisma Illya is great after Zero and Ataraxia Apocrypha is great Tsukihime is great anytime KNK is great any time. | Actually, the Fate/zero manga is quite good the drawings get better after the first volume and it's pretty faithful with the novel, there is much more content than the anime adaptation. (i don't really know why it's so much underrated...) |

Tsukihime came first, Kara No Kyoukai expanded on a different direction of the multiverse, then FSN came and built on the success of both those novels. If Anything Mahoyo would be the main series since it is the original Idea that everything else is built around as well as it digs in deeper to the overall world that they all fall into. That's why you kind of can't put anything into the Main Series catagory. If FSN was alone and there were no connections with the rest of the universe other than simple nods then that might be possible, but the fact that the entire fsn world is just a piece of the bigger puzzle and there are so many branching paths. It can no longer be called THE main series. |

| ^The order is actually Mahoyo, KNK, Tsukihime, Fate, I think. To clarify, Mahoyo was written but never published in 96 or so. Then KNK was released as single chapters from '98 on, though was only published properly in 2004 or so. Tsukihime, 2000. (?) F/SN, 2004. |
