All of them so far except for ANN have the ability to just import your list from here, so they're quite easy to try out.Another one? *lol* I'm already on Anime-Planet. On the other hand, for people completely happy with MAL there's no reason to leave. <3 |

There's no reason to not be on more than one anime list site. MAL is my main one and A-P is my backup, but they have features that MAL don't have such as loving/hating characters and making Lists(favorite anime, most hated characters, owned on dvd, etc), with no limits. Not sure about Hummingbird and the other ones that IntroverTurtle listed. |

It would be nice if there was an option to choose between having the Japanese or English title of an anime to be displayed on your "my anime list" So for example, instead of having Ao no Exorcist, I could have Blue Exorcist instead. |

Edit: Just incase, I was asking about being able to edit the titles on your anime list that you generate (obviously if they have licensed the english titles and if they are available) not setting the whole website to use just English titles... |

I would love this, because some shows I refer to the English title and others the Japanese. Like Higurashi no Naku Koro ni will always be that, but The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya will always be that to me. |

But if not there is FoxReplace which is a firefox addon that lets you individually change the text so Higurashi can be in romaji and Haruhi can be in English.I would love this, because some shows I refer to the English title and others the Japanese. Yes, but this site isn't only English/Japanese, because we can find Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian... etc fansubbers or Spanish, French, German, Brazilian, Hungarian... voice actors... Also anime is from Japan, so this is cool, this site keeps official titles and use Japanese titles as main titles, not english. |

Being able to choose, in general, whether the name of the anime shows up as the English version or the Japanese version on ones page (or maybe more importantly, to oneself when perusing others as well) would be perfect. Whenever reviewing my own list for example, I find myself having to pull up various shows to even see what they are. "Hotaru no Haka? What the heck was that... --Oh, Grave of the Fireflies." I'm pretty surprised that this isn't an option already. |

Yes this would be awesome. NA released shows that HAVE the English title should be able to display it. There are 100's of shows on my list I'm confused as to what they are unless I click on it. |

As in, everyone speaks English on the public forums. Other languages are relegated to clubs. Doing your moronic idea would take way too much work for very little benefit. Either way, this thread and your post is pointless. Kineta has already said that this option is coming (whether the Sun explodes first is another matter). |

It'd be way too confusing if people's lists were all different from each other. Seele00TextOnly said: Yes, client-sided only would be perfect, that's all I meant myself. Who could object to users choosing for themselves? It would be so convenient. Definitely!! That would be the idea behind as it would be too much work to change every single entry. But seen as the English title is listed in the information, A little toggle button on ones list would choose the Jap title, or the Eng title :) -Turnip- said: MAL... getting new features, that's cute. lol doesnt sound like this will happen?? |

Not long ago, the two Clannad OVAs were renamed to Kyou-hen and Tomoyo-hen, from the long-term Another World: Kyou Chapter and Another World: Tomoyo Chapter. |

Because some of the japanese titles go on to 2 lines in the list, the english title is half the length (a good point of this was made on the first page with reference to the Dragonball series. Also it makes it easier to find what you are looking for, or for others to go through your list without having to click on each entry they dont know just to find a title they understand (again reference made on the first page). precious said: I support this suggestion because I'd make use of it. I believe I still haven't shared my opinion on the idea. Well, on short, I would prefer to have it hybrid - both English and Japanese. Keeping the unnecessary extra explanations aside, it would be nice if this userscript could actually be officially input (although fixes and patches would of course be needed): http://myanimelist.net/forum/?topicid=566695 |
