My main interest for the past couple years has been idol groups (AKB48/SNH48, Arashi, and Fudanjuku especially)

So, is anyone else here interested in them? If so, who do you like? If not, why not? What is the impression you have of idols? And how do you feel about the rules and restrictions places on them? Basically, any kind of discussion related to the idol world is welcome in here haha.

You won't get twisted unless you start buying 1000-10000+ copies of the same CD and many idols are over 18, if age is a concern.

I used to like AKB in 10/11, but many of them already graduated. Not worth anymore.

Also, I loved to watch AKBingo..

Well, I have some lukewarm interest in idols, sometimes I hear songs from, for example, AKB48, but I only listen them a couple of days, and then I get bored and I delete them from my computer.

Yes vocaloids are idols despite not being living things.

Yeah there's quite a few groups that suck at singing and if you dig even deeper you'll find idols that don't look cute whatsoever, I've seen pics of idols that look far too average and quite a few below average looking ones.

i love gackt i think he's the best male idol
I know what you're thinking, punk. You're thinking "did he fire six shots or only five?" Now to tell you the truth I forgot myself in all this excitement. But being this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world and will blow you head clean off, you've gotta ask yourself a question: "Do I feel lucky?" Well, do ya, punk?

Try to answer the questions one by one ... loading

Yes i'm very very interested (in Fandom since 2007)

It started all with Hamasaki san i think and Koda Kumi, i still like them.
Almost all the HiP groups (still crying over the loss of Nigaki san)
AKB of cause (more losses to cry about) HKT is kinda my new thing
...and many more

I love this fandom, i'll never leave!!!

pure, innocent, funny, extremely stupid sometimes
i could go on with this longer but these are the obvious ones

At times i hate them, but completely without them .... i think it wouldnt work like it does today.

Idols are the majority of music I listen to nowadays, mostly Morning Musume and other H!P groups but some others too.
I guess partially because I want to be an idol myself but I really love being able to see members develop their singing and dancing skills in the group.. even if my kamioshi is the worst lol~

I don't really know too much about them.. but I am friends with one Japanese idol, Amina du Jean.

Media likes to call her Japan's "first black idol", and she's currently a former Jpop idol + gravure model. P: She's really cute and nice to talk to. <3 And very honest and outspoken on her stances on controversial issues on her FaceBook and Twitter page.

Me and her kind of went through a very personal and difficult experience together, concerning a semi-famous YouTube streamer abusing his popularity points on fangirls. I think some can guess what that meant. /: So that's how I got to know her.

Figured it'd be an interesting thing to bring up.

i found article about here graduation in other day. Sound like crazy idea at that young age he came to japan -to be an idol- but then it seems like she aware of herself risky passion

I like one "alternative idol" band, called Maison Book Girl. And also some songs of You'll Melt More, as well as their member Ano as guest vocalist in other projects.

I also like vocaloids, but honestly their idol side interests me the least because I often think of them as instruments rather than some kind of idols. Sometimes I watch selected songs from annual Magical Mirai live show but most of time I just search for music by myself.

Does anyone know the reasons why Japanese idols can't date? But how do you personally see the rule in the industry? Are you for or against it? and Why?
