Sorry in advance if this thread is already somewhere in MAL, I'm sort of new so don't know how to find it.

Any who, I've heard lots of great things about both of these anime. Also the fact that they were created by the same people interested me.

So which one would you guys recommend?
Which one has a better story?
Which one is more mature?

Thanks in advance

dub - baccano

DRRR is better for a casual watch

baccano is better for when you want a fast paced high action show

Baccano definitely.

Durarara is only interesting during its first half.

Both are worth watching but Baccano definitely takes it, just compare both anime's second halves and that will definitely answer all of your questions... That's a shame since if Durarara's second half would be as good as the first half then I'd actually put it over Baccano

On all counts I would say Baccano! wins, hands-down. It has snappy dialogue, a very interesting story, is fast -yet fluid- and is extremely well-done in all ways. A bit hard to follow if you're not paying close attention, but that, to me, is a plus and not a minus.

I like Durarara!! so far, but not nearly as much as I liked Baccano!; and I feel like the former is kind of like a teenage version of the first. My brother has seen all of Durarara!! and he says that the first half is good but then the second half is kind of bad. I'll probably finish it one day though, just to see for myself.

Durarara!! seems to be a bit more pretentious.
Let's go bowling.

Baccano, by all means. It has a great timeline jumping and all the loose ends are tied by the end, because the novels have an arc format and therefore it doesn't need a sequel to answer everything.
Durarara, on the other hand, is a continuous story and only the beginning of it was adapted, therefore leaving everything unresolved. It also has a straightforward storytelling and too much teenage angst.

Baccano, because it ends, whereas Durarara just leaves you hanging, despite also being a great watch.

I prefer Durarara because the first half of Baccano is confusing as hell but both are excellent.

I would say Baccano.

The only problem with Durarara! was that it put the focus on the wrong characters.

Baccano. Don't get me wrong, Durarara is a good show, but it has pretty weak final act and if were comparing them based on overall quality throughout the show, then definitely Baccano.

Baccano does have better storyline/plot overall.

While DRRR have good plot as well, it has a huge fandom base. (me)

Both. I prefer Durarara, but both series are excellent shows.
