Japanese Indie bands

I love bands like Darwin Deez, Two Door Cinema Club and Foals and I just recently found some amazing Japanese indie bands like Galileo Galilei, Bump of Chicken and Base Ball Bear. Does anyone have any recommendations for some more good J-Indie bands?

in japan indie is not a sound type it means what i said

like most V kei bands are called inide cuase there non Major Label

Yeah that's what the word means, the genre itself seems to be more known and popular in the UK and US. Thank you for the recommendation though I'll be sure to check them out.

Ugh don't go looking for visual kei bands, just trust me on that.
I'd recommend: 8otto, the Telephones, Pontiacs, Multi Colored Vox, Coaltar of the Deepers, NICO Touches the Walls, 9mm Parabellum Bullet, FOX LOCO PHANTOM and, of course, the pillows.

most moden Vkei is Oshare witch is to poppy for most rock fans liking

I have no idea if they're indie or not but I have been listening to soutaiseiriron lately. They have pretty good songs.

"Indie" rock is a term hipster fags use to sound different and cool. In the OP's context, he's looking for some generic "alternative" rock band that is Japanese.

You should check out 0.8Syooogeki this is one of the best indie bands. They sound very unique and their vocals are amazing. I recommend their album called Denshi Ongaku no Shugoshin, you may not love the whole album at first, but try.
