The airing date
Mobile Animate: January 24th (only for mobile phones)
Animate TV: January 26th, 4pm JST (January 25th, 11pm PST) *edited

The producer of Hetalia anime is now trying to find alternatives in order to provide the anime for those who don't have a broadband network environment.

Edited on Jan 21st===========
Himaruya Hidekazu, the author of manga "Axis Powers Hetalia", thanked the fans for the encouraging emails sent from many countries: the nearest one was Taiwan and the furthest one was Argentina. He said Frontier Works, Animate and Studio DEEN will hold out to the end to air Hetalia.

The airing schedule of Animate TV online streaming has not been announced yet, but Hetalia will be shown at the Animate shops in Japan on Saturdays.

Deep breath.. This is an incredibly shameful act of censorship on a harmless little TV show. Some people either need to grow up and take a little parody and satire or defend it.

You know, i know this isn't the doing of all Koreans and there are even many of them who hate what is happening here, however, if those who supported this bullcrap thought the Anime would make them look bad... guess what... this crap just made you look a lot worse... stupid bastards

It was pretty much the only show I was looking forward to in the winter season. D; Oh well. At least it's still being released online and through mobile so not all hope is lost.

If anything, I feel bad for the studio that produced this series. On second thought, maybe this will actually raise DVD sales.

Anyway, I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to this series. :(

Oh well, guess we all got the internet to count on.

Well I might buy it when it gets released on DVD just to see if I can work out why it got banned. Looks kinda interesting anyway. Wonder if the people who caused this realise that it might actually help the show in the long run.

It sounds like it got banned because the TV station doesn't want to deal with people complaining and being "offended." First Korea, so who is next? They don't even want to go there. So I don't necessarily just "blame" the Korean outburst at all, but also whatever suits made this decision. They are taking the easy way out so no one is offended (esp sponsors! perhaps that's why they are taking it off air but are streaming it) and aren't defending satire. It's not even scathing like a lot of satire.. it's just silly and cute.

I imagine the problem here is that some people think that their sufferings will not be treated seriously. The problem is that it is a comedy or a parody. But still it's just a show, as far as I can see, with the unfortunate title Axis Powers, which seems to mean that there will be Germans and Japanese in it. I was a bit startled when I saw this title, which means other people would be too (some less, some more). But I asked myself, is my automatic reaction the correct reaction? Why did I react that way? After looking at what information I could gather, it looks OK. At least I told myself, give it chance. Maybe I'd change my mind later, but I need to see it first.
By the way, I am not Korean, so you don't have to be Korean to be a bit cautious. But I think people that make up their minds without seeing (reading, hearing) it (and it happens a lot), should check the facts first.

Do you think that Kid's Station would have done this had it not been for a group of Koreans saying something??? I don't think so. I'm not blaming all Koreans, but the group who did say something about this had a hand it making it not appear on Kid's Station.

Been reading this manga for quite some months now, and let me tell you, it's one of the greatest things ever, at least for me.
Hell, I'm from Europe, and I had no idea about lots of parts of Europe's history before reading Hetalia. And not only Europe, but Asian history and such too. So it does teach you many interesting things in it's own, funny and original way.

Was waiting for the animation very desperately, and many many other people were too, so these news are pretty damn saddening. Guess there's no other way but watch it from those sites, if nothing else. Gah, why are people taking it so seriously? They should just keep themselves from watching the series, and let those, who want to watch it, watch it. Pretty unfair if you ask me.

Great, those shitty protesters got their way after all =/. Hopefully Studio DEEN will find another station to air Hetalia, I feel sorry for them, having it canceled when they already finished production. Don't people (in particular that Korean Congresswoman) have better things to worry about than whining to get an animated satirical program taken off the air?

i just can't accept this way of creativity caging.
this anime have character named as some of the country and one of them is korea... then what ?
i think that is only some unique way to share a whole new creative idea... and have meaningful lesson about unity.
and they even not give a chance. what a shame... this masterpiece candidate ruined only because some narrow minded group

The production committee never said the reason for canceling was because of us Koreans, but because of "issues with the broadcast station."
It's true Koreans got quite stirred up with Hetalia, but I don't think that means we should be blamed for the cancellation.

and btw If you want to watch it so much, you can still watch it other ways.
I doubt there is anyone here who's actually gonna watch it live on Kids-Station terrestrial TV anyways. :P

So the broadcast-station is missing a spine aswell... they obviously didn't want to even go there with the koreans allready preparing for global war on a simple humourous satire.

The only fitting description to the studio/exec's

Spineless corwards...

But then again, you can still watch it online or download it, not like anyone would have watched it on tv anyhow ;p

This makes me a sad panda and only reinforces the stereotype in the manga that Korea is a whiney bitch. They weren't even going to put Korea in the anime he was only in the manga.

Clearly a few episodes have been made at this point so we may see release elsewhere.

Oh well, as long as I'm able to watch it, I'm okay....
I suppose there is not enough open-minded people in this world. Yeah, it's history. They make fun of those ugly things that some still remember. But even if my country was abused by some others, I still can't help but love the characters. Sigh. And it's made in light of making fun of everyone, jeez. (Okay, I suppose Ita-chan is getting it hardest, with the title and all....but it's übercute.)

I just don't get this. Sigh. People should be more open-minded.
Need to make new sig. Soon. Maybe.
