| I see the glorifying as a joke to actually make fun of people who don't have social lives rather than make them feel good about themselves. I still find them funny regardless of what they were originally intended to mean. I barely have a social life but I don't see it as sad or something to be proud of; you should try to get your fill of alone time as well as trying to socialize, instead of heavily relying on one or the other.
