So, here's what we've thought of: "Organizing your Anime and Manga since 2004" By Crystal "Meeting all your Anime and Manga needs one series at a time" By Stoneblade. If you have any suggestions on something better than one of those, please post it here. Also, if you like either of those better than anything else, let us know too. Thanks! |
| I like Stoneblade's slogan better but they are both pretty good. You probably should put a poll up when you have enough suggestions. |

| I find Stoneblade's a bit more catchier. However, I was thinking something along the lines of: "Compiling your Anime and Manga one series at a time." Because, if you think about it, that's exactly what MAL provides its users and what its provides overall, a compilation of anime/manga series...one series at a time. Either way fine by me however. |

| Stoneblade and Vindemon's slogan is only different by 1 word. But they are both pretty good. Mine is: "Compile and compare all your anime and manga." Of course, another main part of the lists is to look at others and compare them to yours. My slogan might need to be better worded though. Hmm.. |

| I was going to say what kiriyuu said. Just because most people use "otaku" wrongly doesn't make it right to do so, at least in my opinion. There's certainly some who'd disagree, but surely the best solution is to avoid it, that way you don't have to displease anyone. I like Xinil's "Whatcha Watchin'?" best thus far; simple yet right to the point. BlueYoshi's "Compile and compare all your anime and manga." seems pretty good too. "or∙ga∙nized o∙ta∙ku adj + n (2004) : an oxymoron made possible by MAL" - if you could take the otaku out of it, I'd be very keen on this too. My own not-terribly-good suggestions: -Everyone loves making lists. -Where anime and organisation can coexist peacefully. -List your guilty pleasures. -List, Compare, Discuss, Contribute, Discover, Enjoy |

It's a Japanese word borrowed and used in a primarily English/global context (within the forums anyway), it doesn't necessarily carry its original (negative) connotations. Another example of a "bastardization", for lack of a better term, would be "boondocks" (originally "bundok") which means "mountain" in Filipino but is usually used to refer to any (backwards) provincial area when used in English. But if you insist, other equivalents of the term such as "anime/manga fans/enthusiasts" may be substituted though I still don't think it's an absolute necessity.
