THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Shu arriving late as Mana revived. Mana hugging Shu and badmouthing Inori. Him being mad makes Mana mad for hurting her. Her song (opera) releasing pink light and freezing people.

Gai vs. Shu. Shu lost, but Inori's voice saved him. He defeated Mana using Inori.

Gai also has blackness on his face, and returned to himself (at least he was different with his white hair). He talks about how he became like that, to release Mana from Dart not letting Mana die (about fulfilling one's mission).

Gai entrusting Shu. They are gone again and Inori's back.

Shu took everyone's void and disease away. Place collapsing and Shu in alternative space with Inori. He finally accepted the red thread, and she left him.

In the world of peaceful life. Shu's without Inori (at lease he images the world with her when listening to her song) and his arm (at least with iron arm)...

From beginning to end was an excellent chapter and all those who were against Shu received his due, but Shu was very generous and managed to save some.

So ends this season of this anime. I have to say that apart from this current episode the whole season got a solid impression on 2 fronts:

1. The melding and excellence of RELIGION + GENETICS pushing boundaries into terms coined such as “Genetic Marriage” a most interesting approach.

2. It got me emotional at the right times and it produced memorable fun times.

That being said I rate this a final 9/10! I truly enjoyed it for what it was despite it’s FLAWS! Despite is’ major PLOTHOLES! Despite all the hatred of much of its elements. Even all that, it still proved that much for my enjoyment and my interest in its terms.

One of my favorites that I can watch all the time is the following one,

SHE SHOULD HAVE DIED! Too bad but I think it goes back to that Jesus fable of a prostitute thing and that she should be sparred even though she did so much bad. I guess regret from her could be one cause. I don’t know what they were thinking. Too bad. May edit later.

People raging at /a/ hilarious, I knew that flower would bring her back. Didn't figure she wouldn't make it though. Oh well Shu lived which I also figured don't know if I feel trolled or just expected it to be shitty already.

Anyway for the last time.

DROPPED!.... TILL R2

On a serious note though it was a fun ride. I don't think the show is that bad but it has a lot of areas it could improve. 7/10

I think the epilog could of been a bit more cheerful, instead of showing a depressed Shu in the park I would of liked Ayase and him together <_<. Very bittersweet.

a nice ending indeed. shu saved everyone and I believe the world was rid of voids as shu took everyone's void and their cancer. Inori saved him from dying by sacrificing her life when she told shu to take that cat's eye formation in her hand. It also seemed shu got his old powers back when he defeated gai so he has well had two void genom's in each hand.

the show has had it's ups and downs. give it a 9/10 just for the awesome music

Shuu and Inori played saviour. Gai had his intention all along.

I can't say I like the ending, but it was not far from expected.

Overall, even with lots of irrationality, it still was a very good ride with highs and lows.

I knew they were going to rush things with some kind of infodump. Best parts were Tsugumi fighting Daryl and Arisa getting shot. Was Shu supposed to be blind?

Seriously though, keeping Arisa alive = troll of the season. I want to see a sequel with the Daath dude as the antagonist.

The final episode was horrible. I expected an epic battle, more Mana, Inori using her fighting skills once more, but none of that happened in a satisfying way. Even music and animation felt way out of place this time.

The anime could have done much better with a few episodes more, but still it was good and entertaining overall for most of the time. 7/10

I would say yes since she survies. TBH I think what makes Ayase famous is the following,

and it's subesequent other parts like that. What's really ironic is that they put it in the last episode.

Even more Ironic of Tsugumi in the following,

and in the spoiler
oh the irony that makes her a winner. I don't know what people think of the obvious higher fan service but personally I found it appealing to leave for males some S.S.D. neural saved ecchi memories of them. It's another way of showing they are winners. Well a way of seeing things on the ecchi side.

Mana's dancing scene was awesome
Gai vs Shu fight sucked >:(

Seriously? He absorbed an entire city's worth of the apocalypse virus. Its a miracle he *only* went blind. Its a miracle he's alive at all.

I was quite happy when Shu went to die with Inori. That seemed like the perfect ending to me...as both them bore the guilt for their actions, and would atone through death. Unfortunately, Inori tricked Shu into living while she went off and died. Sweet on her part, but IG goes and punishes Shu anyway by making him blind as well and missing a limb. I really think they just enjoy punishing their main character. I get the whole "guilty crown" concept, but Shu isnt the only guy that should have to bear it.

Gai got to go off and die. Everyone else got to go off and die. Why couldn't Shu have his heroic death?? As it stands, Gai had a better ending than Shu did lol

YOU WANT IN ONE WHOLE THING?

Basically it's Inori sacrifices herself to take all the shit from Shu that was bad else he would die. There are side effects to that BTW. Thus him blind. There, DID THAT HELP?

I'm not sure what they were trying to do with the Inori dieing at the end thing. I guess I do understand that in order to release Mana and make her destructive nature disappear, Inori herself would need to be sacrificed.

If it was to garner emotion, it didn't. If they wanted that they should have done a better job giving her more personality and screen time earlier in the show.

The whole episode was super rushed. They tried to fit an entire multiple battle sequence in 20 minutes with at least two long winded flashback scenes.

Arisa survived. I actually thought that was interesting. I always felt that her fragile scared emotions was understandable. Her action for the most part given her being manipulated was also understandable. I didn't get the raging hate that some had felt for her. Would be interesting what they did with her character.

Ayase and Tsumugi survived. Thank god. the world needs fan service girls.

Seriously, did they have to go all Neon Genesis Evangelion with the Daryl and Lt guy scene at the elevator? I thought the scene in Evangelion was stupid.. This one was just as bad. How about shoot out the floor control panel and YOU BOTH GET IN THE ELEVATOR, STUPID.

Overall, I gave the show a 6 of 10. Way too much plot inconsistency and annoying character development for my taste. I think they tried WAY to hard to make everything about the show mega epic and failed spectacularly. The series could have been much better if the storyline was more simpler.

Shu going blind would've held more weight if it was a consequence that was specifically built up to ahead of time.

Seriously, that's depressing. He's a blind guy who's a shell of his former self, who lost his sister(albeit weird) and best friend, and love interest. His great comfort is listening to recordings of Inori sing and sitting in parks.

His life is over, he might as well be dead.

Christ, your so right. They make it look like all he has are memories of lost loved ones. He would have been better off dead.

NO and I agree but look forward to the BDs maybe they might extend the last episode. They do that sometimes with some animes. If they want RESPECT and $$$ obvious is obvious. They should do it. So far this series is selling like candy. Seems loads of students can come with a identity to most characters in this series and I think that was the poignant aspect of this series while in stuff like Symphogear it's harder due to its more fictional approach then this series's fiction.
