| Well lol Megami tensei is the obvious one probably. I have had hundreds of hrs of great time playing those games. From digital devil saga, devil summoner, the persona series and most of the DS spinoff titles. I would pick xeno, since its a great over all story, but the gameplay is lacking and definitely not as addictive as other franchises, replay value is kind of low. But yeah i agree with others, how the hell can you pass up on the tales franchise, or the dragon quest series, those are like two of the largest jrpg franchises in history. |

| Breath of Fire? Disgaea? Tales of? Star Ocean? Dragon Quest? Pokemon?Not to mention you have Fire Emblem on there twice. And that's only jrpgs. What about wrpgs? Elder Scrolls? Deus Ex? Fallout? Baldur's Gate? All of those franchises are well known and have more than 3 installments each. I don't even know why you even have Fushigi no Dungeon up there. The only original series in that genre is Shiren the Wanderer. All the other games are part of other franchises. |

Thats what i meant yeah i agree on that, but given the other topic how its all Japanese role playing games as well. Its a safe bet that hes referring to jrpgs and not wrpgs. But i agree, mass effect, dragon age, elder scrolls, Borderlands, Fable, fallout all deserve recognition. |

| None of above, I like Mh and Megami Tensei but they aren't the best for me. I prefer Summon Knight Swordcraft story, Golden Sun, Megaman Battle Network. |

Wow, I can't believe what you guys just said. Yeah lol. I was a bit tired when posting this. I meant to say that they are two different franchises but from the same western developer and they are both wrpgs, which makes them completely different to jrpgs. What i dont like is how people sometimes categorize mass effect or fallout as a shooter when in fact it is a role playing game as well. Of course the term role playing has confused gamers over the last 10 years because of how many elements of the genre of changed, thats a fact. |
