Yamato and Honoka have officially become a couple, and the news spreads through their circle of friends Miki, who learned about it from walking in on them kissing last time, is hesitant to tell Suzuka, but eventually does. The news seems to have quite an impact on her, though when Yamato himself admits to her that he’s going out with Honoka, she acts relieved. However, she spends the rest of the trip in somewhat of an unenergetic slump. When it comes time for the team to return home, Yamato and Suzuka are left behind after she helps him pick up some drinks that he drops on the train station’s boarding platform. They have no way of getting back home and are stranded in Hiroshima wondering what to do.

This episode’s animation is average, and it makes fairly good use of the music. But overall nothing seems to stand out. SSpecifically, I liked listening to the dialogue between Yasunobu and Miki, and then Yamato and Suzuka when he admits he’s dating Honoka. Now that I think about it, the music may have had a big part to play in those scenes.

That's some great development but well this doesn't look good and I'm afraid of what will happen next! I still find Honoka's approach awesome and well I just wish he'll stay with her and not with Suzuka!

I'm only partially into this episode, but it's really raising a number of warning signs, so I'm gonna throw out a couple predictions and observations from what I've seen so far:

- Due to the fact that the name of the show is Suzuka, she's going to be the girl the main dude ends up with. As such, this is all twists, turns, fluff and filler until then. If not, then I'd question why this show was named after Suzuka in the first place. In some ways, it's restricting its own story and making all this dramatic dancing about quite frustrating.
- I had a previous prediction that since Yamato and Honoka agreed to go out and Miki saw them kiss, a couple things will happen. For one absurd reason or another, Suzuka is going to try to get friendly with Yamato despite not knowing that Yamato and Honoka were going out. This will end in a blow up for some reason, whether by Miki telling Suzuka or Suzuka finding out herself.
- Worst case scenario, Yamato is using Honoka as a fallback since he felt rejected by Suzuka, but still harbors feelings for her. In an even worse case scenario, Suzuka, for some strange reason, tries to win Yamato back, causing him to doubt his relationship with Honoka.
- The best case scenario is for this whole mess to be worked out between Suzuka and Honoka themselves. Otherwise, this will not end pretty.

I'm not exactly despising this show, but it's not a show I'd normally enjoy provided I wasn't in a masochistic mood. There are many instances where I'd just wish there were less voiced thoughts, as hearing what the characters are thinking merely confirms my suspicions that they're all tools. They're not characters, but tools; tools of the narrative to force key events to occur. We have the accidental walking into an out-of-context conversation, we have eavesdropping, we have secrets and misunderstandings, we have pure insensitivity, we have a complete lack of communication, we have a number of side characters that hinder more than they help, and we have two main leads that have no sense of chemistry together.

That ill feeling in my gut only came to pass when, out of nowhere, Suzuka invited Yamato out to shop, immediately followed by Yamato declining without a second thought. And, of course, this was immediately after Yamato and Honoka kissed the second time and agreed to start going on, if just to highlight how tragic that their feelings were just a few degrees apart. It just makes the writing feel so...planned and calculated, especially considering how in just the previous episode, Suzuka still wouldn't give Yamato the time of day. Granted, Yamato's awareness, tact, comprehension of situations and general understanding of emotions isn't that good, but seeing characters flip flop so quickly like this feels really disingenuous.

Yasunobu seems to be the character I can tolerate the best, but that's only because he hasn't really done anything besides act as an observer and push Yamato along the rails he was already riding on. I won't drop this anime, but it won't stop me from questioning the unfolding events and whether or not they're sensible.

Or, in short,

So they're finally going out, looks like Yamato moved on from Suzuka. Suzuka's jelly/depressed about it by staying up all night. Erp, Yamato and Suzuka got stranded by missing the train...

This episode was so enjoyable to watch as I despise Suzuka. Too bad that they made such a generic plot at the end. I hope Yamato won’t do anything stupid as he starts to act as normal human should in latest episodes, but he’s clearly not over Suzuka so she can take advantage of that.

I would love to see ending with him and Honoka. Yes she is pushy, but Yamato is just as pushy borderline stalker. Why was Miki blaming Yamato for dating Honoka anyways?
Suzuka was the one constantly pushing him away and even rejecting him, you cannot wonder he finds somebody else who cares about him in right way. She can be angry only on herself! Unfortunatelly as anime is named after FL and the path it goes is pretty clear for now I doubt Yamato and Honoka ending ever happens. It’s not that rare in anime that worse girl wins.

I would rather choose a girl who supports me, doesn’t hide her feelings, cares about me, can cook, looks better, do chores, is reliable and stable instead of Tsundere with complex which doesn’t know what she want. She basically toys with the boy feelings for like 8 episodes now and he was so dumb that he played this game with her. I hate bitches who gives double signals like that which only hurts the opposite side.

Yeah she had a tragic past regarding her "almost boyfriend", but that doesn’t mean she should act like queen of the world cos of that. In one moment she is extremely cold towards him, telling she despise being with him and in second moment she wants to hang out with him, go shopping and shit. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK? Do you have split personality or are you bipolar or something? I don’t see how anyone who isn’t 17 years old virgin can like this girl... Yamato has his own part of blame as well as he’s annoyingly persistent and toxic SIMP. Also telling Suzuka that he is not her DEAD friend was over the line... WELL it was true, but some things shouldn’t be said or at least he could say it in more respectable way.

Only thing that excuses her is the fact that she is teenager so it’s naturall to not knowing what you want. Still in her case it’s extreme and her acting towards MC is mostly her choice.
