Son Goku learns that he killed his grandpa Son Gohan, feel sad for him. Back to the fight, Son Goku's Genkidama failed. He is near to death, Vegeta shows no mercy!

Vegeta 10x as strong in ape shape as before. We talking ~200.000 here. How can they still all be alive? No idea.

Haven't seen the cruel scenes of Goku before as they were cut in the version I watched, very tough.

Ape transformed Vegeta, as expected, is mighty powerful. Goku, whose whole body is dripping with exhaustion, has run out of fuel. I kept expecting Yajirobe to pop up at any moment, just waiting with baited breaths to save the day. Unfortunately, even when Goku's legs got crushed, he is still nowhere to be seen. I am quite sure now would be a good time as any to come in clutch. You have to admire Goku for not quitting, though. Even with his legs rendered useless, and nearly unconscious, he managed to release one final attack that caused one of Vegeta's eyes to lose its sight before all energy left Goku's body. That's pretty badass.

And the truth of grandpa Gohan's death has been finally realized by Goku. Not surprising, Goku has matured quite a bit, able to put the pieces together when the situation calls for it, despite still retaining most of his pure, innocent traits. For such a guy to realize such a tragic thing is both sad and bittersweet. I guess he will have a long talk with his friends after this battle is over.

Yajirobe, of course, realizes he stands no chance against Vegeta - no wonder he just stands there, unable to help Goku. After all, they are on a different level. Seems that his Genki Dama had gone to waste. Goku is getting more and more tired, having used up most of his energy. This could either end swiftly or maybe, just maybe, he still has some tricks in his sleeve.

Krillin and Gohan can fly now somehow... I guess it happened off screen and that pisses me off a bit. what was that about krillin saying in his mind that Gohan was really (Goku) his son? was everyone doubting it all this time? this confirms that chichixyancha rumor 😏

Vegeta stepping on and crushing Goku’s leg was fucking brutal

Goku finally realized that he is the one who killed grandpa Gohan :(. I can’t believe that Spirit Bomb failed, after blinding Vegeta I think Goku should have either used energy from the fake moon in his Spirit Bomb or try to destroy the fake moon.

Damn it, Goku is so cooked. Someone needs to do something fast, the second most powerful person on this planet next to Goku and Vegeta would be Gohan at this moment, he needs to do something fast. Poor Goku, learns about his Grandfather’s Death by his hand here in this episode, just tragic.

Oh my God.
Goku has realized it. He IS the Great Ape.
Nobody ever hinted at it properly for him to understand when he was a child. Now that he is an adult, he finally put 2 and 2 together. Defeats the argument that Goku is stupid. He was just naive when he was young.

Uranai Baba definitely fell down. No more need of money or challengers xD

I love the Genki Dama/Spirit Bomb, the entire concept. Its beautiful.

@Berry-Vodka We got kuririn flying in og dragon ball when he was fighting Piccolo in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budōkai. The one that was slightly surprising was Gohan flying, but it's not as surprising considering he was trained by Piccolo. Goku also didn't use his flying technique until at the end of his fight with Piccolo at the end of og Dragon Ball, same thing with kuririn, he too doesn't use his flying technique often that's why it may be surprising to you if you hadn't watched og Dragon Ball.
