If Guardians of The Galaxy was going to get a anime adaptation, would you watch it and how well do you think it would do?

Remember how even characters like Gamora and Mantis were so hot in the movie, that universe is quite fascinating

ABSOLUTELY NOT, I HATE MARVEL and less generally most western super hero comics.

No, the anime industry is bad at adapting modern western IPs, it should stick to what it's good at.

Guardians of the Galaxy anime would be a downgrade for sure.

Gamora's actress is, like, 40 yo. And how is the universe fascinating? It's just space fantasy, not even science fiction. Typical marvel goyslop.

Nope. I tried anime that adapt western garbage in the past and it stayed garbage in all cases. (Blade, Iron Man, X-Men, Wolverine, ...)
I've also tried watching, yet dropped, Guardians of the Galaxy. Complete trash that is not worth revisiting in any form whatsoever.

Well at the very least it sounds more interesting than "I Got Derped By a Truck and Now I'm in Generic Land" that we get a dozen copies of each season.

What is that random choice? Why Guardians of The Galaxy specifically?

I would avoid it since I disliked the last adaptation it got.

Would be cool to see, especially directed by gintama staff for example wether it's Chizuru Miyawaki (from gintama 2015 series to the fina) or pre 2015 gintama series directors as well.

It could work. I'd watch it, if I wasn't kind of done with the franchise at this point.

Based on the 3 movies and the video game from a few years ago, I'd say Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the Marvel stories that are well-suited to anime, compared to Thor or Ant-Man or something.

It's flexible, in the sense that they can take the story in really bizarre directions, it'd work well in episodic format, it's loose and light-hearted, its characters are colorful and have fun chemistry.

It'll probably be an uphill battle in terms of making money, though. I understand that "wacky space adventure/comedy" is not really a fresh premise in the anime space. And we don't get many space anime these days, presumably because most people don't care about them anymore.
