The Eminence in Shadow (light novel)
| I'm at episode 8 right now and it's reached the point where it really dampens my enjoyment of the show. Literally all the bad guys are men, all the good guys are women (with like 3-4 exceptions). The hero goes around killing these men like it's nothing, meanwhile no female characters are dying. And, ofc, the hero only has female group members. Since I assume the author is male, it's not hate against men, but more a creepy, cringe case of "all women are MINE, other men don't matter", huh? |

| Yeah, we all know it is the usually bait thread from this guy, but it is no secret that females have thicker plot armor in all anime, not just this one. And that includes mob characters. |

| I was not a fan of the plot either though I never really noticed the pattern. A lot of male authors likely do not want to remove the waifus over random npc guys. Guys are just more easily disposable in media in general with far less shock value. |

| Pretty telling how many of you go "dats ragebait!!!1" when my criticism is perfectly valid. Men are being killed like it's nothing in this anime, girls are completely immune to punishment. To the point where the villains are all male and the good guys are all female. With the exception of the protagnist and and a handful of chosen male friends (that exist to show how much better HE is). If YOU like this shit, cool, that's your opinion then. But don't accuse me of ragebaiting for pointing out a fucked style of writing. |

Ah so your serious, even worse. This show is not meant to be taken as a statement of men are bad, "patriarchy is the root of all evil", by trying to push to have an underlying theme of the villians are always men so men are bad.
The whole show is a parody of isekai tropes. So the show doesn't even take itself seriously. People are saying it's ragebait by how you went to tin foil hat land with your hot take. If you're up to ep 8 did you not notice how much of an asshole Alexia is? You'll also find out in S2 why Rose's mom is a straight bitch in every sense of the word. So the whole premise you made that woman are always seen as good while men are portrayed as toxic villians, is outlandish.
If you're wondering why don't women die. Well for one I don't need to know the author of this show, since it is very much curated for guys. So all the girls look hot, and your not gonna kill off the main group of girls since its parodying off how isekai mc's that get reincarnated, are surrounded by girls. With the show itself not taken too seriously to have allies be killed other than villians. So your serious take goes against everything the show is even about. It's some hot take I could imagine being on reddit.
If you're looking for women and girls dying why don't you go see aot's first ep and goblin slayer's first ep.

| I did find it really odd that he literally has no male members in his group, but I quickly realized you just need to shut your brain off and watch it. It's a fun anime when you do that, as it's pretty self aware it's not a serious anime. |
