Don't blame me if I'm doubtful, but with the amount of stuff they showed in trailers, opening and ending, I'm pretty sure they intend to adapt the entire story.

The OP only convers Aries, Cancer, Libra, and the wingly girl (I forgot her name, she's not one of the original Zodiacs if I'm not mistaken), not even as far as Scorpio. But the Hero party is there as well... So at least in the 12 EP 1st cour it won't rly go that far, as well won't rly have to rush as much. If I'm not misremembering the chronology, they'd won't even make it as far as the dwarven kingdom yet this season/cour... right? And Dina wouldn't even be outed yet this season/cour as well...

Things might change if it turned out to be a 2 cour 1st season tho... We might even reach the battle with the vamp queen (forgot her name) at that point, the one with Lufasu's awakening... who knows...

To be fair, it's been a long time since I read the manga tho, and I dropped it somewhere along the way as well, for reasons I don't even remember why... But I remember seing Scorpio, the first half of the Pisces twins, Tauros (only encounter, not even joining Lufasu's side yet), and stopped reading after the battle with the vamp queen, maybe even a little bit further.... So I might got some details or chronology wrong.

What are the chances that this anime is in fact having 26 episodes and will cover entire story?

26 episodes won't be enough for the entire story.

I didn't read the LN but I know that there are 9 volumes and I did read manga to all the released chapters.

So we will need at least one 26 episodes anime season and a movie or 3 full anime seasons of 13 episodes to cover everything?

The last part of episode 10 is the beginning of volume 3.

@groudonvert You're right, it's really hard to decide where season 1 will end. But if season 1 is 2 cours, it's possible that it could end with Ruphas vs. Benet (Volume 5 LN). Because it's such a shame, isn't it? Benet's character appears but there's no scene for her. For now, I just hope this show lasts 24+ episodes.
