That was pretty anticlimactic, especially after such a long build up. Last episode’s pacing was already bad, and the start of this one made it even clearer. If she was going to lose that easily, they should’ve cut down the runtime before. We did get a little bit of the big guy’s backstory, but most of it just felt like a waste. As for her character type, I don’t get why writers keep using it. They’re always annoying, and idk if anyone actually likes them.

Still, after five weeks of her messing with the main cast, it was satisfying to see her finally get hit. But did she really deserve to be beaten that badly? I’m really not quite sure here tbh. If he had just punched her once and demanded answers, it would’ve been rough but understandable. Instead, he went straight for killing her without even trying to get information. That was definitely the wrong move. Oh well though, only time will tell.

damn they totally did this episode justice.
from showing off Tammy's over powered weapon
to betting the shit out of amo (as a fan i can say totally deserved btw) to Redos deep conversation with Engin.
all in all arguably the best episode.
can't wait to see Amos back story get covered

The MVP of this episode is Tamsy (aka the rope guy), Tamsy is obviously a male character, but he is voiced by female voice actress Mitsuki Saiga, she is one of a few voice actress that I have no problem when she voice a fully grown male character.

Now let's dig a little bit deeper in gender. In Rudo's profile page opened by Semiu, you can see one of the line that read as "Gender: Maybe Male", we all know Rudo is obviously male, but I also love how this anime always open to the possibility of diversed gender.

Here's the rest of other lines of Rudo's profile
Name: Rudo
Age: Around 15
Height: 153 (my take: probably thanks to the maskmaker secret measurement when he sleep)
Birth: 7/20 (July 20)
Birthplace: Tenkai (which means sphere)
Favorite: Sweet
Interest: Gomiat.... (text cut-off)

By the way, Enjin acts like a friend to Rudo, not his senpai, not his teacher or advisor, he admit his faults and he invite Rudo to improve themselves together so that they can be a better person tomorrow, I'd like to say that Enjin just stole my heart with this act, but he already stole my heart since the first episode!

In this time when most summer anime end and most fall anime haven't begin broadcast yet, I'd like to thanks that Gachiakuta has two consecutive cours. Otherwise I'd be bored to death.

Not a fan of violence against women, having seen it IRL, but cannot say she didn't have it coming. Rudo would have straight up murdered her had others not put a stop to it.

Remlin's spell really helped saved the day, just like Zanka, I forgot about it.

Rudo finally snapped on Amo and gave her a pretty brutal beating. She certainly deserved it, but watching her tearful beaten face, I sympathize a little bit.

I thought Enjin was going to lecture Rudo about it but he doesn't even set Rudo straight, he just shares his own experience and preferences.
I really like Enjin and Rudo dynamic right now.

What a satisfaction to see Rudo give her a few punches. She really pissed me off since her introduction. And after playing with other people's feelings while laughing, it would have pissed me off even more if she got away with it for free without any punishment.

I was on the same wavelength as Zanka when it came to Tamsy. His solution to the fight was genius in the end.

Shockingly brutal reaction by Rudo. That inner darkness he's carrying around shows he's not a forgive and forget type of protagonist.

Y’all MC a woman beater? Yikes couldn’t be my goat. Amo might be a little mentally unstable, but she’s just misunderstood. Anyone that hurts her gotta go thru me. Other than the domestic violence, dope episode.

We got to see Tamsy in action who I’ve heard a lot about, his ability’s dope af. Also, we know there’s something more sinister behind Rudo’s anger issues now. He’s got some sort of darkness brewing in him that I imagine has something to do with his hands/ability, but what is it and why has it latched onto him? Wouldn’t be a shonen without the MC having some hidden force inside them that helps them be OP. I feel like him taking his anger out on amo is also him projecting what he wants to do to the girl who betrayed him as well.

Enjin smelling Amo’s boots is fucking killing me this show is so ridiculous.

Finally got some hint about the sphere/ground. Assuming the angel they’re talking about is actually an elevator allowing people to go back and forth. Interesting.

Tamsy having to cut his own aurafarming session short after realizing he was being framed as cold and ruthless enough to off his allies without a second thought was gold lmao. Kinda embarrassed to admit I forgot about Remlin's spell too though.

Rudo really put those gloves to work. Man, that was visceral.

I was so annoyed. Before Amo even started screaming for help, why didn’t they at least knock her out and strip her of her vital instrument? Thank goodness Enjin was faking. Bitch would’ve stayed barefoot. I totally forgot about Remlin’s spell. Good thing Tamsy didn’t. Is it sad I find him sexy now? LOL

Rudo’s switch flipped. I can’t wait to find out what’s really up with him. I can’t say I disagreed with him, but 1 punch maybe 2 was enough.

Tamsy went brutal there... I confess I didn't remember this part because Rudo's punching Amo was a bit shocking when I've read it. Not a thing you see every day coming from the protagonist in a shounen series.

Tamsy must really like sewing. His vital instrument is so cool and terrifying. Who would have thought a spool would be this powerful !?
Rudo really snapped and took care of Amo's annoying face lol
But really felt bad for her. So Enjin hates annoying women but loves smart, nurturing women with a good figure, haha
Enjin shared his weakness to Rudo and made him feel better and he praised him for being able to recognise what his weakness on his own in itself a great room for improvement ❤️❤️

@Mainnus

Of course you sympathise when you see her tearful face, but again you know what REALLY would have been saddening? Having everyone over exert their bodies to death cause of Amo's "smell". I I just laugh at the whole situation cause I really expected Rudo to pull a "Come on, you can trust me. Help me to help you trust me" stuff your usual Shounen protagonist pulls, against all odds, he whailed on her xD

At most I expected a slap...maybe a good knock out punch...but DAAAAAMN Rudo went agaisnt all odds there lmao.

Even gave my boy Touma a run for his money by pushing it quite far with "Beating someone regardless of gender for almost killing me and my friends".

Did Rudo go a tad too far? SHORE

Do I feel sorry for Amo's stinky ass?! HECCCCK NAAAW! They all could have died for "her" and she woulda probably just kept one of them alive to clean up her room afterwards...

I don't easily roll over and feel for crazy, manipulative and cheeky people. Including women like Amo...unless they're Yanderes naturally

HEHE.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

yeah, what a pay off! I actually thought the battle would last a whole episode... it kinda did like 2 of them in fact. Honestly that
Last week, I had an idea of what things were going to look like for this week's "pay off" epsiode. AND the resolution to all this being

She did mention a few tidbits that can reveal more about the world they are living in. Not just the ending cliff hanger statement she left us with but the person that gave her her vital instrument they could either be anyone we might know, or it could the main "antagonist" we've seen before. If that's true then that makes her a spy if she ends up joining the group and forming a close bond with em. Then she will end up being a HUGE help the person she was talking about. AGAIN thats if the person she talked about is correlated to the guy we might need to consider to be a villain.

But man I had to pause the show when rudo just walked up and Just KEPT GOING BRO HOLY SHIT!
that took me lot out of me to not feel bad for girl given her circumstance. Like I was doing gymnaistc level logic to justify Rudo's action when it happened. But after his explation, during the heat of the moment, it makes sense? Like he was "defending himself" but in hindsight, that was probably the worst thing to do. Because, if she does join and ends up betraying them she might hurt Rudo 6 folds more than the girl that dropped the toy on sphere. But thats given the weird conclusion I came to any life. IN ACTUAL HINDSIGHT, she might not be willing to play along with their "gathering of info" or what not. Cooperation might have been muddied. HELL the whole crew was on Rudo's side it seemed, aside from enji who just wanted to ask question, considering they all saw shit they were not willing to let go so easy being toyed with about it and controlled over it seems... dangers ya know... but given that they were on the winning end here... IDK cant blame rudo tho dude releazed he fucked up, so hopefully the info and forgiveness can start next week.

Hell yeah! F that bitch! My respect to Rudo increased 1000x time. Not only did they almost all die, Amo felt ZERO remorse. No accountability? BEAT HER TO A PULP!

But then Enjin be like: "What about all the info we planned to get from her"

and I was also like "Oh..."

:D This was probably the funniest moment, especially seeing how Rudo obviously didn't think that through either. Can't blame him, I also forgot why they came to her :D

Also,

"Curse that can destroy the world" sounds corny NGL.

"Angel that goes between sphere and the ground" is more interesting. Who or what can that be?

Dang, Rudo released his inner feminist on Amo but not even Kazuma would approve that, that was pretty tough to watch her getting beaten and then crying full of blood and bruises, I hope she becomes a regular in the show because she has a fantastic design and just the right amount of craziness, I also hope that it doesn't take too long to know what happened to Riyou because she certainty took it really hard to be reminded of the person she loved.

Ah so Rudo is an advocator of true gender equality, nice to see lol, as cute and hot (and smelly) as Amo is, she deserved that pummeling, yeah it’s easy to say don’t hit her now but not when she had everyone under her spell earlier, I’m glad it seems to have knocked some sense into her too, she dropped some pretty juicy info right at the end so that’s something to look forward to. Tamsy (i remember his name now lol) was pretty epic here too, that rope weapon is pretty overpowered but I’m not sure how strong it is against trash beasts, I think it might be incredibly effective against other people, especially since Tamsy knows a thing or two about tying people up like we saw with that tasteful position Amo was in lol.

And wow Enjin was the goat here, he got to smell Amo’s boot and imparted some wisdom onto Rudo near the end, just when our boy thought he hadn’t grown at all and actually reverted to how he used to be on the Sphere, Enjin let him know he has grown after all by recognizing his faults, and he’s very right about that, now that Rudo knows what his issues are, he can start working to correct them. And with that I think this marks the end of cour 1, I’ve really enjoyed the show so far, I’m excited to see what the next cour holds over the fall, I’m guessing we might be getting a new OP and ED too, if so I’m really gonna miss this original pair, especially the OP, it’s such a cool song, I recommend everyone check out the full version because it only gets better after the first 1:30.

Tamsy's vital instrument was really cool, definitely as strong as he made it out to be on the cliffhanger from last episode. He was sick of all this nonsense and ended it. Super clever of him to take advantage of the seal they all received to protect themselves from one mortal wound.

The thing everyone is going to be talking about is the confrontation between Rudo and Amo. A lot of twitter freaks trying to criticize anyone who doesn't disapprove of Amo getting punched. I've ruminated on it for the past hour or so before giving my response. After Tamsy's attack that sent everyone 10 floors down, Zanka explained just how disgusting and cruel her power was. To manipulate someone using their most cherished memories is an exceptionally nasty thing. The aftermath of those who were controlled was a tough sight, they looked visibly shaken, disturbed, angered, and disgusted at what happened. As if their hearts had been ripped out. Delmon was clearly furious and Riyou looked like hell. Up to this point, the team had all been beaten from each others' attacks, but Amo had not been attacked once. I'm in the camp that she deserved to be punched in the face. Her intent was to have the team kill each other. When someone tries to kill you, no matter who it is, all bets are off in my opinion. I don't think Rudo should've wailed on her like he did, but a punch was justified. And how the episode framed it, from Zanka's observations all the way up to Amo still running her mouth and showing no remorse for her actions, it felt as though the episode was trying to show that she had it coming.

I get that Rudo went too far and he needs to control his anger, and him apologizing for going too far is a step in the right direction. But I still stand by that Amo deserved to be punched for what she did to the team. By the end of it, it felt as though Amo woke up, or realized what she did was wrong. Which is why she finally started talking about getting from the ground to the sphere. It's similar to the "slap to wake someone up/come to their senses" cliché. I think Amo is better off for waking up from her destructive behavior, and this was a learning experience for Rudo about his anger.

P.S. I'm jealous of Enjin getting a whiff of those boots. Amo is smoking hot and now she's confirmed stinky. She is now front runner for best girl.
