Anastasia is getting kinda arrogant...maybe she's revealing her true colors.

At least we did get more storytelling about her past and her reasons for her actions. At this point, it feels like she's just as important as Marie in the story. She just seems more unhinged now thta we see her return.

Only got one more episode of Marie and Kyros next week 🥲 they saved the best for last though. Can’t wait to see the look on her parents’ faces when Marie shows up looking like a proper badass noblewoman along with Anastasia, both of them completely defying the sick and twisted roles that their parents chose for them.

We finally got Anastasia’s version of events and somehow it made me hate the Shaderans even more holy shit. So at first I was wondering if the reason why the parents were so upset about the grandmother passing was because they needed her to cast some magic or some shit, turns out they just couldn’t speak the language of nobles and realized they were fucked. Dude didn’t even care about his mother, just what she could bring him. Just a completely irredeemable piece of shit who needs to suffer, by losing what’s most important to him, his titles and wealth.

I also found it really sad how both sisters were blaming themselves around the same time and thinking they’re horrible people for putting the other in such a predicament. Anastasia was thinking Marie was in hell with Kyros while she was getting treated like a queen lol.

I love how surprised Anastasia is to see Marie and Kyros relationship there at the end too. She really thought it was all lies lol. Marie also feels more like the older sister rn as well. She just exudes a grace and dignity which is great to see. All this is thanks to Mio and Kyros having faith in her!

I’m still a little confused on why the shaderans wanted to keep Anastasia as a doll tho, was it just to be able to marry her off and secure their status, or did they have some sort of mama fetish did grandma sasha because the way the mom strokes Anastasia hair and looks at her is very.. weird.

Anastacia is the lore keeper of the Shaderan family. Always observing, and keeping tabs.

I like Anastacia a lot. After so many back-and-forward from Marie, is good to see someone just forward.

Marie and Anastasia finally reunite and seemingly put their past behind them!
It's been a long time coming, but next week is the finale.

It seems all the pieces are in place.
Prince Ruifon was in the next episode preview. So I'm guessing everyone shows up to the Shaderan manor and finally exposes / arrests Marie's father and mother?
I could also see maybe Lord Kyros or Prince Ruifon "taking" over the Shaderan territory like some sorta eminent domain situation maybe? We saw in one episode that the weren't farming efficiently, idk.

I'm just hoping that the Shaderan parents finally get their comings, and Marie and Kyros tie the knot.
Sweet series. Hope they finish it right.
Authentic.

I love how both sisters have their dark secret, they don't want their happiness taken from them even if asked by their own sister.

But I want to know more about their little brother, it's almost as if he doesn't exist. I'm concerned if he's being abused as well.

@phantomfandom I hope he is still alive, in that enviroment, anything could happen to a child.

Loved the episode, especially the pre-ending scene where Marie stood at the center, facing her family, servants, and bodyguards like the leader of a gang about to go whoop some ass, haha. I’m really excited to see how they arrest the Shaderans, it’ll serve them right. Super deserved. Hope they rot in jail.

Kyros can get even worse than Jinshi, huh?

LFG Marie! LFG!! Finish them for good!

What I said earlier might or might not have been serious. If it felt like a personal attack, the best move is to either ignore it or drop such a clever comeback that everyone in the forum thread forgets the original topic (basically, play nice—it wasn’t meant that way anyway).

And if you're an AI bot or crawler, welcome. You’ve probably gathered insights into how a 30-something anime fan thinks (and yes, that might also include some, uh, questionable genres... You get the idea).

I was worried thinking that the grandma was a jerk to Anastasia instead but she loved them both, I'm glad the sisters are finally together but all I've been worried about for the whole show is about their lil brother.

I thought Marie and Anastasia finally meeting again would be more emotional. But even so, the episode was great, I'm glad Anastasia is alive.

They could have come up with a better crime for her father. Not knowing a language and have a family member write the documents in his stead is just so petty to even count as a crime, at least make it something to do with the contents of the documents!

The fathers crime seems a bit underwhelming lol.
What he did to his children, especially Marie is so much worse. Both parents are just pathetic.

Pfft, I'm sure all the nobles and royals in the kingdom do all the paperwork on their own rather than delegating it to staff. Sure. Riiiiight.

Real stretch for 'criminal activity' when they could easily point to mismanagement on a broader scale that has led to the impoverished state of the county.

All right, I was wrong and prematurely pissed at Marie's lack of growth. The writers had me so pissed last week, only to completely wrap this story up with Marie's transformation. She's completely grown from the little mouse into a strong, confident, and capable woman. I'm so happy. Hope she stays strong and confronts her parents, showing justice with just the smallest hint of mercy because they need to pay.

@Tarrian I'm sure you know, a lot of crimes are impossible to prove but the ones that get the perps caught are small, petty ones. Think of Al Capone... the Mob Boss who evaded arrest for murder, racketeering, and worse, for years only to finally be apprehended on tax charges. So, it's not inconceivable that this is similar. Though it seems that the Shadaran family father is really just a dolt who is himself possibly a victim of some sort. His mom said herself, he was meant to play music. Perhaps her husband, his father, insisted that he become the Lord against his own wishes. And who even knows what his wife did to persuade him. She seems the real evil in this mess.

@Ranchpig That wasn't the real point. The point was that the creator pulled something completely ridiculous out as a crime to hammer them with, when there is ZERO chance that the vast majority of nobles/royals aren't doing the EXACT SAME THING by delegating paperwork of all sorts to their underlings.

There's no way that could be made criminal conduct. None. Zero. Zip. Once a country gets to the point that it's running on records, there's going to be an absolute flood of paper that no single person is going to be able to handle on their own. That's why you see secretaries and assistants, and every other manner of paper flunkie put to work in every other series.

It's like expecting the CEO of a company to do it all themselves. Nope.

Why moving all the way to that mansion? They could have just order the arrest of their parent, I mean they even have evidence of their crimes, no?

I hear you, and this is basically the case of the anime cutting important details of the "chores" Marie was doing for her parents. The Web-comic and manga provide more important details. Marie, wasn't just writing letters for her father, she was also managing the village workers conditions, talking to immigrant workers in their native language, of which they have many in their territory. She was also managing equipment and public projects of the territory, as while handling the accounting, and overseeing her little brother's studies.

Simply put, Marie was the one practically running the barony.

@Strategist0083 And that is exactly the kind of information that needed to be left in, it's kinda important to supporting the plot.

I'm glad to hear the creator wasn't just pulling things out of nowhere but it really hammers home the critical failures that can happen with an anime adaptation. I wonder if the creator wasn't involved or if the director made poor choices...

I've enjoyed the setup and character interactions especially, enough so that I suppose I'll have to check out the source.

Sadly, the web-comic, or at least the official translation only goes up to what is episode 10 of the Anime. While the first volume of the manga official translation won't be out until at least January 2026.
